Daylight Savings Time? I guess not.

Funny little story about daylight savings time from last night. I'm surfing the net and noticed sometime after 2am that the clock on my computer went back an hour. I was confused for little while and then realized that it was just daylight savings time and the computer corrected my time like always. I didn't recall reading/hearing anything about the roll back, but then again I don't most years. Shortly after, I went to bed.

When I got up in the morning, I moved the majority of my clocks back and even told my gf who was visiting that I was confused as to what time she'd be here because I didn't know if she was aware the clocks went back too.

Well about an hour ago, I turned on the tv to the guide channel and noticed that they hadn't rolled their clock back. At first I thought they were wrong, but the chances of that are slim to none. Puzzled by this, I searched the internet to double check that it actually was daylight savings time and it wasn't. I was quite surprised to say the least. If you can't trust your computer, who can you trust!?

Did anyone else's computer clocks change back last night or is my the only confused computer?

Maybe your timezone is set to a European timezone? The clocks went back today in France.

Naw they went back on my comp at home but I 're-adjusted' because of the 'new' time zone standard the US has incorporated.

she can spend that week sleeping with me

anyways, my guess is that your computer may not be updated or something like that.

This was only done within the last year, and i'm guessing if you haven't updated your windows or whatever it wouldn't know that the Daylight Savings Time changed by a week.

Somebody clearly isn't installing their Windows updates. This one came out before the DST changes were even introduced, about a year ago.

Given that, it wouldn't surprise me if your box has also been turned into a spam zombie by now.

the US changed the dates last year, and Canada followed as it would have made things very confusing for people in all industries if there were 10+ times zones in North America

I thought TOTA were quite informed.....
This was fairly big news last year when it was
introduced, but not put in effect until this year

The people were informed.
The machines obviously weren't.

If your machine changed this past weekend, I think someone needs to spend some money and update their there electronics to get something better!

The rationale Congress used in not standardizing the DST with the EU was that children need an extra hour of sunlight while Trick-or-Treating at Halloween.
