Sad Trance and crying!!

i'm an emotional type of person but have never cried or have gotten the feeling to cry while listening to trance. Although i will say that some tunes have sparked some very strong emotions of happiness/joy/euphoria within me, but never prompted me to cry...

how is it that people cry while listening to trance??? has a trance tune ever sparked such strong emotions within you that you started to cry? what is this feeling like???

Hell yeah!!.... I'm not scared to admit it. I've cried quite a few times to trance. I think it has to do with the occassion.....or under what circumstances u're listening to it. I cried most after the death of my father...4 yrs ago....and during this breakup with my ex. Just brought out alot of emotions I had buried deep down below. I also cry out of happiness.... I've gotten really comfortable with my emotions....not like before. I love trance....so it's allllll good.

Never really cried over a tune, though Trance is so energetic and emotional... silence (tiesto/ airscaoe mix) for example always brings up so many memories in my mind, sarah mecklagen*- fear (hybrid mix) is also very emotional for me.
I assume there is a never ending list of emotional tunes as each has it's own tune to bring up old memories with...
*however you spell that

Though sadness is not the only espect of trance, many times I walk with my MiniDisc down the street, listening to some of my FAV tunes and just as I reach the uplifting part of it I get this massive energy flow followed by goosebumps, hehe

Or how about that feeling when you get onto some high point in a club where you can see all the crowed from above, then you hear this wicked tune coming in and the crowd is going wild... man, that's a real rush!

the one tune that makes me feel really emotional is Beachball by Nalin & Kane. That track sounds soo nice turned up loud and i can't quite describe why but it's just so damn awesome

The only time I got tears in my eyes is when I listen to Southern Sun. THAT TUNE SUCKS A FAT ASS!!

but besides that, no I don't cry when I listen to trance. That's ridiculous.

Just because you cry doesn't mean you're sad about something. It just shows how emotional someone is. And it's not ridiculous. I've cried over songs before and it's just how it makes me feel. I've done it just as I go BERSERK to some tracks as well. Depends on the song, the mood I'm in etc.

i've never burst into tears....

but i got close to crying once. I was listening to Delerium - Innocente (DJ tiesto Remix) and ya know....

its not really "crying" me and my friends PROUDLY admit when something brings tears to our eyes, its like, the thing your watching or listening to is SOOO good that you have an overflow of emotion.

like, i cried when i saw the starwars episode 1 trailer, and the first trailer for episode 2

ive also got tears in my eyes listening to trance.. its such an awesome feeling, i love it

i just got done reading the 3rd harry potter book and i had tears in my eyes it was so good, read my other thread about me raving about it, im a fanatic now, i read the 2nd and 3rd book in 2 days.

I feel so strongly about the music that i cry all the time man...

But its good crying, and i get the goosebumps over trance all the time

The right trance tunes effect me , but i dont think i would ever cry.

I go clubbing in Vancity like every weekend and if i cryed i think people would probably think im a weirdo

Yea but its different if your alone and listen to emotional tracks as to hammering it in a nightclub

I have cried a few times listening to trance. Not because I'm sad (I'm actually more inclined to cry when I'm happy or incredibly amused), it's the emotion and energy from certain tunes.

Of course, my mood and the circumstances of my life at the time do influence these tears. And I'm sure it helps that I'm an emotional person too.

Smiley DJ hey folks!

yeah, almost...when i broke up with a chick and it was bad times!
it was mekka - diamondback! i was right on starting to cry but then i suddently just fell asleep in deep trance....trance has never helped me so much as that time...
it's also been happening because i've been very happy!
you're right it's the emotions and sometimes the female vocals in the tunes!

I*M NOT AFRAID TO ADMIT IT EITHER...

have fun!!!

Posted by Fraggle on Apr-28-2002 14:00:

hmm...yeah i get pretty emotional with some tunes

...wouldn't say i've ever cried from hearing one

...but they do hit a certain spot for sure

this tune rips you apart everytime, I put it on my winamp list with caution.

It's never JUST the trance song, but obviously what it does to you: brings up memories/emotions/thoughts, and you release with tears. I very often tear up, but it's no flood.
The track that really got to me was Blank and Jones - Desire(4 strings remix), brought up so many things that i lost it in my room right there and then, was a bit embarassing when my roomate came in.

cheers
Ilina

Yea Diamondback is an emotional tune.

BT - Dreaming does it for me as well...

And loads of other songs with dramatic scores

Posted by ExOn on Apr-28-2002 22:22:

I've cried many times.. last time was to Oakenfold-Southern Sun (2nd Tiesto Mix)
So much sadness!

Other traxx are:

Billie ray martin - Honey (chicane club mix)<--- Brings back summer memories!
Jaimy & Kenny D-Caught Me Running (DJ Tiesto's Summerbreeze Remix)<---Some more!!
Angelic - Cant keep me silent ( Jam X and De Leons Dumonde remix)<-- Ohh when i dropped this and they crowd went bananas i cried happy tears..

Posted by elena on Apr-29-2002 03:21:

Billie ray martin - Honey (chicane club mix) <-- DEFINITELY

i dont remember crying or tearing just cause how uplifting the song was// usually involves deep controversial personal emotions ...
song links to a particular memory and sucks when it triggers it everytime you hear it
