Justice.. Hot Or Not?
Booyakasha.
I've been into Justice ever since they started their own thing, and i find this dirty glitch thing absolutely mindblowing! Justice seems to divide opinions here on TA, so i just wanted to know what your thoughts are about them, good or bad? Groundbreaking or just a fad?
Please discuss!
And videos FTW!!
Here's a little intro to what Gaspard & Xavier are all about..
Genesis:
Something happier
D.A.N.C.E.
And here's some proper dancefloor glitchness:
Waters Of Nazareth:
And as always, sorry if repost

but I respect their music tho. Well made, good shit. It just lack the punch by sounding a little too much neo electro synthpop a la daft punk, and I can't stand the french touch.

I think if they just chill out for a bit, get back to the studio and collect themselves they could do a lot better. They had this really fresh, fun sound when they first jumped onto the scene. Loads of energy and just all around fun party music to listen to. Then they started showing up EVERYWHERE and, imo of course
, got a little over-saturated. You can tell they sort of got too big too fast, and it just feels like they're riding their current wave of success.
So I feel that if they just relax for a bit and start coming up with some new material that isn't JUST glitch/electro/distorted bass stuff, they could do a lot better
I also really wish all these high school kid would shut the fuck about them like their some kind of electro-pop messiahs

I think they sound very similar actually
Same general 'sound' as it were. Everyone on that label all sound pretty similar. Gritty, yet radio friendly, pop electro.

Waters Of Nazareth is quite easily one of the most rubbish pieces of music I have ever heard.
Every time I have heard it out I stand in anticipation for my ears to pop.
"Distortion is not a substitute for talent."
Hot. ![]()
Overrated as hell, some stuff is good but a lot of other tracks I find pure grating (don't care for sharp, glitchy synth sounds much). I'm always a bit suspicious when indie kid Pitchfork-worshippers start raving about a dance act when 99.9% of the time they won't even go near the stuff at the risk of looking "uncool" or whatever.
Yeah, I guess I like them. They're derivate of Daft Punk but they do their job well.
I think their productions are alright, but this video cracked me up:
Rod Stewart lol
They're alright, they seem to be trying so hard to be Daft Punk but missing the diversity. I'd have to agree with Bas.
I find it hot.........[pause]........... NOT!
i find it hot, their productions are ok... i like dance and we are your friends.... they play so banging electro... the electro from back in the day not wtvr the "new electro" or wtvr it is poeple call it.
They're good, but certainly not groundbreaking.

The Cross is definitely one of my favourite albums this year, Genesis is mindblowing, such a nice bass sound, Phantom 1&2 are great too.
It got me into other electro stuff like mr oizo, Uffie, Feadz, Digitalism etc. A year ago I was moaning about electro saying it all sounded like modem noise etc now I love it
This is too much into the neo-hipster movement.
At a hipster bar, I visit occasionally, they play similar music. Interesting concept at first, and then I see the people around me. Tight girl jeans, ironic tshirt, "unique" hair. It's odd.
they're not going away with this sound though as they're being picked up mainstream-wise on radio1 etc, so it'll only continue.
Wow, Waters Of Nazareth sounds pretty unbearable on my headphones
i like them but
DIGITALISM>JUSTICE
When I go to the gym they play MTV there, and D.A.N.C.E. was pretty much the only clip they ever played that resembled enjoyable music. Mainstream stuff, but good.
Never had heard anything else by them, but I like those two other tracks you posted here.
