A thread about....... Snowboarding!

My new board. A Nitro Team series with brand new Drake Czar bindings. Going up to Whistler tomorrow for my first run of the season. Theres gonna be some fresh snow on the mountain too. I'm pretty excited. Any of you guys going boarding any time soon?

i just went for my first time ever last weekend, had a blast. going again Thursday. gonna be sweet.

It is so expensive man, thats true. But I like going every once in a while. I go more often to Cypress and Grouse but they just don't compare

I brought my board out to PA two years ago and STILL haven't gone!

I should go get my board tuned right now, at least that would give me some incentive to get on a slope this year.

I think I'm gonna be hitting okemo with some friends in early february! killington just got overkilled for me...

I definitely have to try snowboarding out

ya i go to whistler once or twice a year but mostly at grouse for me cause of the money

Kinda wishing I bought my board, boots and clothes with me to Toronto. I'd like to see how the powder is on this side of the world.

I was never that good at snowboarding. Skiing is more my thing, although I haven't gone in about three years.

Tryed it once. Fell on my bottom. Pain. Never again.

No pain no gain? I landed on my ass today on a couple of jumps, it wasn't very pleasing.


On another note, there was about 8 inches of fresh snow on the mountain when I got there today. Found plenty of runs without tracks on them, it was awesome. Went out bounds a couple of times and almost fell into a ditch, it was bloody huge too. Probably wouldn't be typing this if I had fell in it.

Duuude I just got back from snowboarding Big bear! First time back in a few years 6 to be exact lol, but im carvin em up again! I had a friggin blast wooo!

I got a Morrow Snowboard i didnt use it today cause i need new bindings i beat up that rental im so sore. Woke up at 0530 on the road by 0600 started boarding at 0900 till 1530. I'm beat.

Yeah I was up at 5:30 too. On the road at 6:10 though . I hit the slopes non stop until about 14:00 though. It was getting really icy towards the end of the day so we decided we had enough. We didn't stop the whole time we were there though. Did both mountains at the resort, did about 20 different runs. I'm so satisfied its not even funny. On a side note, since Whistler is weed capital around here, when we were parking our car at around 8:30, these guys were smoking up hehe. Some people are just too intense, I'm not sure if weed and snowboarding mix very well.

Hey, we should have a TA snowboarding trip. Especially with this snowstorm today. Blue/Moonstone, and anywhere in between will have a nice coat. This winter is sooo much nicer than last year's.
