Played this live yesterday afternoon and enjoyed it a bit so I thought I'd share the recording. Spun on 2 CDJ's, a Xone 62, EFX 500, and PVDJ looper/grabber.

Note: I had an issue with my recorder in the middle of "Azure" - so I basically just edited the set into two parts. It's still one file, but there's an outro around an hour in, and then it heads right into the second MJ tune.

Enjoy - as always, love to hear your comments/criticisms/thoughts/etc.

How the fuck did you get Jinzou? It was on Beatport for a few hours last month (by accident, it would seem) and I tried to purchase it, only to get an error. Then it was gone.

This will be something good to listen to after I spend fruitless hours in Logic tearing my hair out at my inability to create music.

Posted by callme:gsmile: on Dec-21-2007 20:51:

just one thing dude, why would you label this a live set. I mean its no different than when anyone else records from home (unless its that gay lay em out and piece the puzzle style.) Other than that its good. Just curious.

Posted by RJT on Dec-21-2007 20:55:

1 shot through, no mastering = live set.

I've been over this a lot of times before.

Posted by callme:gsmile: on Dec-21-2007 20:56:

im renaming my set as we speak

ps you edited

/playful ribbing

Rolf - fair play, but it does sound a fair bit better than the "Skip-skip-crrarrrrash" noise that was in it's place

...

And just to be clear - I didn't mean to sound defensive or anything, I just thought this had been done before (I thought you and I had even discussed it ), but either way - when I do a promo, I do everything I can to get it right, I want the mixes a certain way and the amount of effort that goes into them is a lot higher than into something like this, and I guess I just think the distinction should be made so people listen in context.

But maybe that's gay. Who knows?

Someone... probably.

Thanks guys - the listens/comments are very much appreciated

Posted by RJT on Dec-23-2007 15:28:

Ugh, I'm also realizing now that there are a few skips in the recording - I need a new computer

Sorry if any of them are particularly bothersome - there aren't too many.

Posted by coded audio on Dec-24-2007 00:09:

Hey Rob can you please tell me what the tracks @ 75 & 95 minutes are.

cheers

Posted by Alex on Dec-24-2007 01:18:

Knew practically every tune, which made it a bit boring.

It seems at least half a dozen big name DJs are spinning practically all of these.

Mixing was good, nothing too fancy.
