Good Clubs/Bars In Amsterdam...

Headin over for Trance Energy and will be stayin 5 days in total.

Any good spots i should check out?

powerzone is a nice club, great crowd, cool warehouse vibe, always a nice place for house music.

and, outside of amsterdam, club poema is AWESOME, located in utrecht like TE, only 20 minutes from amsterdam.

your best bet though for finding the perfect party is to check out www.partyflock.nl and click on agenda to find dates

and if you're adventurous, talk to people at any of these places and see if you can find some of the more semi-illegal and underground warehouse parties all around the city. you won't see them advertised, but nothing beats them

Cool man, some good info there! Wot time do these places close at? We'll be wanting to party right until 6am!

i just stayed in a hostel when we went down but it was hard enough to find a room that didn't have holes in the doors (no joke)..during a "slower period before the summer"...let alone during Trance Energy... but a bed's a bed.


edit: reading>me. I thought we were talking about hotels and places to stay I know nothing of clubs! All i remember was hanging out at the Bob Marley "bar"

Other favorites were the Kali Mist at Barney's (very much "get ya going" pot), the blueberry @ Betty Boop (which may not even be around anymore), the Ring had some nice Jack Herer while I was there, and as far as place to chill I enjoyed Abraxas (although their weed was pretty inconsistent as well).

This is all just for Centrum though, some of the best weed in the country isn't anywhere near Amsterdam.

Just a minor addendum to this post - Dampkring has probably the best hash in the city, but the majority of it is to be found at their second (actually, I believe it was open before Dampkring) shop, Tweede Kamer.

It's located pretty close and I believe they still have the same selection as the Dampkring, plus quite a few more varieties of hash.

Definitely worth checking out though.

I'm also fairly sure there are still 3 Rokerij shops, but didn't spend much (if any) time at any of them, so maybe Myra and I will have to check them out when we're back in March.

Never been to that club, but it's a pretty small club from what I've heard.
