1/19 :: Markus Schulz @ Glow party with District Ignition [Washington, DC]
Come party with District Ignition as another MARKUS SCHULZ comes to IBIZA Nightclub!

What You Need To Do (the short version):
1. To sign up for the guest list, email with your name and the names of any of your friends that you would like to hook up with reduced entry NO LATER THAN 8PM ON SATURDAY. FIRST AND LAST NAMES PLEASE! We will accept "plusses" but bear in mind that all of these folks must show up with you at the door, otherwise, they'll have to stand in the long line, and they'll have to pay full price.
2. Show up no later than 10:30PM to ensure you'll have enough time to find parking and walk your happy ass to the short line so that we can get you in for $10 off prior to 11PM.
3. Do not wear shorts, flip flops, sports jerseys, hats, timberlands, white sneakers, overly baggy gear, etc. If you aren't in compliance with the dress code outlined below, odds are, you won't get in, and there is absolutely nothing we can do to help you.
What You Need to Do (the longish version):
When you arrive at the club, talk to the clipboard girl (or guy) and tell them that you're on the District Ignition List. The guest list line is on the SOUTH side of the building, so if you're facing the club, head to the LEFT side of the building and get into the line that runs parallel to Patterson. You'll get in for $10 off until 11PM. Make sure you're there on time if you want the full discount. After 11PM, you'll still get in for $5 off (taking it down to $20), though, so not all is lost... Since we'll be working the lines outside, we'll be able to verify that you're on the list and hand you your reduced pass before you even get through security. So, even if you get in line a little on the late side and security is really slow, you won't get screwed at the door by making it to the ticket window at 11:05. Don't wanna wait in the line? Don't! The DI Guest List means you'll be able to skip straight to the "cuts" line that is always much, much shorter than the general admission line.
For now, this list is separate and distinct from our normal DI list that you may have signed up for to go to SNATCH or FUSION, so the way to to get access is to email

You should receive a confirmation email back within a few hours of your submission to the list. If you don't, please hit Jason (ramz) up via AIM (ramseyja13) or get him a message somehow (PM, etc)... We have had a few instances with some email providers (AOL in particular) marking districtignition.com email as spam, so you might have gotten the confirmation back sitting in your junk box... Check there and ensure that we are on your safe recipients list to avoid this issue in the future...
As ever, DI appreciates your support and patronage.

yea i'm a big fan as well. my brother goes to school down in DC so this might be another excuse for going to visit.
Very excited for this one - his recent liveset from Vancouver is pure smoothness, his artist album is awesome and he's been playing nothing but fire for the past 10 months.
Anybody know his set time?

...i've listened to it too many times to count...borderline nutty right? anyhow sucks you'll miss the miami set should be JUST as good or better than vancouver. i'm trying to plot when i can get to hear markus spin next.
just gotta love everything about markus. i dunno, to me it feels like he has his own atmosphere when it comes to music. if you listen to some tracks in a row, you can almost point it out that its him on the decks. yea its gotten somewhat cosmic gate-esque sometimes, but i like that style anyways so it doesn't bother me. I'm gonna upload a video or two to youtube with markus at pacha and post them. stay tuned.

| Originally posted by djstopngo I was there that night. He was really good that night but slightly overshadowed by a devastating set from SvD. I actually prefer the sound he is spinning now - more progressive with tracks that utilize syncopated vocals (shapes, perfect, yearzero, etc.) |
oh i agree. I'm just saying, I still enjoyed that night! One of the best nights I had out ever.
All the headliner DJs at Glow @ Ibiza go on at 12:30am on Saturdays.

FYI - Ibiza generally turns on the lights at 3am and leave them on for about 10 minutes... people generally think this is the end and they leave but they will shut the lights back off for a while. The final track is usually dropped at 3:30-3:45.
Anyone down for a netmeet this Saturday?
I tried to organize this at the last Armin show but due to the crowd size it was impossible to find anyone or even a legit meeting space. I think this Saturday will be packed just comfortably enough. So for those interested in getting together I'm going to host the District Ignition netmeet at 12:45AM at the bar at the back of the main dancefloor. We'll be behind the big couch, close to the wall. Just look for me - my Glow "uniform" that I wear when working there has Tiesto Elements of Life on the back of the t-shirt.
Anyone with questions about my guestlist or when to meet up can email me at or give me a holla the night of at 412.443.5957
Peace.
I'm thinking about going to this, but am not sure if I'll like him. I like uplifting trance like Armin and Tiesto. Do you think I'll enjoy him? Any good sets to check out his sound? Thanks.
