Thursday, Feb 28th: Mighty presents SATOSHI TOMIIE w/ Alain Octavo
I'm playing a 2-3 hour opening set for SATOSHI TOMIIE!!!

I've heard good things about this guy. Looks like I'll be visiting Mighty more often now.

satoshi is one of the icons of prog. think along the lines of digweed and cattaneo--a very technical mixer with great progression and insane basslines. i've seen him at mighty and cafe mambo last year and his style is very edgy and nuanced. i just hope mighty's sound system is able to pick up the dark, moody elements in its entirety. this will be one of the most exciting shows of the year imo, not to be missed.
coming up next Thursday!
advance tickets only $10!
yo alain... how was the tour of asia???

so how was it? did it fill up because it was really dead when i got there then again i got there early to support Alain. Missed Satoshi because security were being douche bags last night and said i was way too drunk yet still let me pay and go in 20 minutes earlier
Wouldnt even let me go grab my bag w/ camera and CDs so i asked security to get for me and just said no... Lyndsay ended up getting it for me, THANKS SO MUCH LYNDSAY!

satoshi was sick! he had kind of a slow start, but the last half was ripper... especially the last hour, and most especially the last 30 min!!
the crowd seemed to dig every minute of it though, especially the photographer guy. lyndsay achieved several milestones last night as well

I would expect nothing less.
Thanks for all the kind words and early support last night, very much appreciated! I always enjoy playing Mighty on a weeknight, especially since it pulls a more open minded, ready for anything crowd.
For some of my friends it was their first time hearing Satoshi and at first they weren't really feeling it, but I said "just wait, he's just getting started, out of no where he's just start delivering those twisted tracks" and he did, some of those mysterious builds he had were crazy.
Very fun night =)
