Clovis, Bas & DROOG 6hr set

So theres a funny story behind this one. DROOG are residents at the Avalon here in Hollywood, and Bas & I have become good friends with them, after many a late night / morning spent rocking after hours and partying together. So on this particular Saturday, we were going to play the terrace together (me opening and then DROOG guys till close) @ Avalon. Unfortunately it was raining like nuts, and the canvas roof of the terrace was leaking and there was water everywhere...so it was shut down and we didn't get to play. So instead, we plugged in the recorder and had a house party at their place...and kept playing till some ungodly hour in the morning. This is the first 6~ hours of what we ended up with, the first hour is me attempting to replicate what I sort of was going to play at the club, and the rest is a five man tagteam extravaganza between Clovis & Bas and DROOG. It's pretty nuts...and it got even crazier later on into the night...

The mixing isn't amazing, but everyone was having fun...and there is some fucking good music played. I think getting our show canceled really lit a fire under everyone's ass..

Awesome!!!

was really looking forward to this but it honestly left me feeling a little blahh !. Just too much of the same thing can really get boring and this 6 hours was just that , one minimal techy track after another. There was no real colour or energy to my ears. Mixing was brilliant but that can't save this set. The one track which really caught my ears was that one which starts 1hr08min from the end of part II . Fuckin blinder of a track. has that female vocal sample " music is broken " or something like that in it. Any id on that one ?
