JBJ - "Veto" [Full track -- 320 Kbps] [Trance]
JBJ - "Veto" [permanent link] [raceriv.com; 19 MB] -- 8:26, 125 bpm, C Minor
Turn it up good and loud, and listen. Then tell me what you think.
This is the first complete song I've done in a long time, and the first one I've posted on TA, as far as I can remember. Comments and suggestions on all aspects of production are welcome.
I like the atmosphere. Its a little bit thin, but keep the good work up

Contrary to what others have said I beg to differ.
Less is always more and your track does sound quite full, there's enough going on and any additions on top might spoil the flow of the track, which is what it has going for it right now.
I guess you could throw in some extra pads or so, but not really necessary.
The only thing is the levels are far too low, bring them up a bit!
Mixdown seems fine though, although the kick could be raised a notch i guess.
Good job!

I did some EQing and was able to lift up the volume on the whole track, plus I played with the levels on the percussion and made the highs a little louder relative to the rest of the track. Sounds a bit clearer to me. Here's the new SendSpace link:

Not bad, everything sounds much more clearer. Good work with the percs
Thanks.
sounds good mate, yoou might want to change the level of that snare... or maybe change the sound all together, it doesn't fit with the rest of the sounds

I had no idea that you produced until I saw your sig just today - this is absolutely lovely m8. Excellent little the percs are awesome - sounds almost like a breakbeat but it isn't, mixdown sounds solid, and it's trancey noises at low BPM's, which is right up my alley.
I'd like a 320 please, this one is going right into my bag for a while.
I'd also love remix parts - and if you're looking for a label, I might have an idea or two for you as well
And check your pm
Thanks!
Here's a Sendspace link to a 320 version:

I'll try to get some remix parts together for you later this week.

Great track! Don't have time to respond farther than that currently, but I dug it.
Thanks.
i'm glad i checked this out
it does have a bit of 'reasonitis' and maybe some tired sounds, but it's generally really some nice trance to listen to.
i love the subtleness before the chord changes at the end
if i played it i would edit the chord (bass) changes out i think
Thanks. Was kind of hoping you would give it a listen since I really like your tracks.
Sounds pretty dope, if you ask me. Personally, I liked the clopping smack of your snare, I guess I got use to it. Otherwise, it sounded rather deep ... usually you get this massive 'epic' trance that try to make statements with these ludicrous melodies and anthem builds. This piece simply stays cool, thumps away under a shadow-cornered street light watching the metro cars sip by the freeways... nodding and nodding under an atmospheric hood.
While this track doesn't hit my favorite trance list, it is still a cool track that I can see growing on me in many ways.
