I Got Accepted to Law School!!
As many of you know, I've been working really hard to get into law school. It's been one of my dreams since high school. I completed my undergrad and am now currently working on my Master's, and just recently got my acceptance to law school for the fall!!
I applied to Windsor, Western, Osgoode, Ottawa and Queens. And further to the JD/LLB (joint btwn Canada & the US) programs at Windsor, Osgoode and Ottawa.
My top choice was to stay in Windsor b/c I already have a foundation here and have made a lot of connections. Plus it'll work out better for me for a number of other personal reasons.
Anyway, I found out I got my acceptance to the JD/LLB program in Windsor during reading week, but my OFFICIAL acceptance package came in the mail this week. As well, I found out yesterday that I got accepted to the LLB program at Windsor. Still waiting for the others (though I got into one of my top choices!)
I just found out today too that over 500 people apply to the JD/LLB program at Windsor, and they only select about 50 people! I'm SO excited!!!
Unfortunately I start August 18th 
So that means I have to work really hard to finish my thesis this summer before mid-August. No crazy party summer for me But who cares...I GOT INTO LAW SCHOOL!!

Originally I planned on doing criminal law, but I don't think I could handle being a criminal defense lawyer. I still really enjoy criminal law though, and I have connections with the crown's office here - so I am looking into become a crown prosecutor.
The other area of law I'm beginning to get more and more interested in is environmental law. So that's an option.
Who knows though, my feelings may change completely when I get into the program and realize that I enjoy a different type more than these two.
