what worse than the cops obsession with CZ is the obsession u people have with the place..
since this thing seems to happen ever so often, try keeping it all to one thread please

| Originally posted by kotsy I can't believe someone was dumb enough to have that much coke on them given the other raids. People are just asking for trouble now. edit: at least the number of people arrested is going down. the pattern shows that next time 0 people will be arrested. |

| Originally posted by kotsy also a good point. people are still dumb for taking that many drugs inside though |
what's funny is that when people said they weren't going back for a while, others kind of laughed at them or said that was silly...yet this the the 3rd (or 4th?) raid in how long?
lol
I guess if you don't have anything on you, you're good...so who cares. I'm guessing that it's a serious pain in the ass for the managers/owners/staff to be dealing with this shit on what seems like a weekly basis now.
Maybe after reading about how great the comfort zone is on all the message boards they decided to check it out. Once they "popped their zone cherry" they were hooked.
what do they do with the marijuana once they seize it? did people get hassled for having a couple j's on them? I know at the hot box cafe ur allowed to smoke j's there but why is comfort zone soo different? i mean why did the police bother with weed? coke and g should be targeted. weed should be legal to smoke there. just my two cents/

Conservative Government
To answer your question- Stephen Harper is launching a U.S. style war on drugs.
There is a Bill C-26 that increases penalties for marijuana and makes all amphetamine based products including MDMA and methamphetamines as well as GHB Class 1 rather than Class 3 substances. That means they are lumping these into the same categories as heroin and crack.
This goes directly against recently published scientific studies urging a reclassifications of drugs according to harmful effects:

Police agencies across Ontario and Canada have also been told to stop issuing warnings for small possessions of marijuana and to write tickets.
Don't think that the police raids at CZ and their presence at the other Sunday morning place isn't a directly result of these new policies.
is this the end of CZ?
