Anyone interested? Flights out of Orlando are only $150. We've seen shitty hotels as low as $55, about a mile outside downtown Detroit. If you haven't seen the lineup, check it out @ http://www.myspace.com/detroitmusicfest
Should be a nice change of pace from the constant hammering of house music we have here in Florida, not that that's a bad thing.
are you going dan??? i'll be there with some LA TA's, friends from atlanta and a friend that lives there. i haven't been but i've had people tell me it's musically insane!!!! and it's a whole lot cheaper than WMC.
I want to go. Can't find enough people. Need a couple more to be able to afford a hotel room. Wondering if any FLTAs have any open space or want to share a room.
If I end up making it I'll drop you a line Sarah.

i wanted to go to this more than I did WMC but it worked out for me more economically to go to WMC instead. I would love to go as the lineup is fucking simply amazing but I will not be able to get enough to go. Have fun guys!

ahhh so simple! lowest is through priceline...the 150 ticket was leaving saturday in the morning and coming back tuesday.....otherwise northwest has tickets for whenever you want for about $210

word to the wise from someone that knows(grew up in metro detroit), dont stay in a "shitty motel for 55$ about a mile from downtown detroit". if i were you i would stay at a reputable hotel establishment as close to downtown and the casinos as possible. its not murder city for nothing, and if you value your well being dont bunk up a some cut rate motel in a seedy neighborhood. not to say that the hotels downtown are grandiose, but you will at the very least be closer to the action, safer, and there is more of a police prescene. im not try it scare anyone here, DEMF has been going on for almost a decade now without a hitch, just make prudent lodging accomadations.

using a little advice from ben....i was on kayak.com and if you use that website for hotels, you can see where they are located.....theres one for 60 a night and its downtown.....just a thought

Have fun guys. But we have enough minimal and tech house around here year round, so I feel no need to travel for it. For example the week after DEMF Carola will be @ Noc. And I believe Hawtin will get booked again very soon being that he demolished Pawn Shop like a house of cards in a Cat-5 hurricane last December, and that place was more packed than I have ever seen it that night
