For All Nord Lead 3 Owners...

I've recently updated my site with a "Name Your Own Price" policy. This means you can now purchase my Nord Lead 3 bank for any amount of money.. from $0.00 to whatever. For a lot of people, that probably means you will want it for free

http://www.alanmarcero.com/store

Enjoy!

Also, a Virus TI bank is nearing completion and it will have the same pricing policy.

I do not own a Nord nor a virus but...

Good sir I would like to subscribe to your newsletter..

So I did.

Sounds are siiiiiick.

I'm torn between the virus and the nord, your nord sample sounds amazing to say the least.

*edit

What are you using for the stutter like effect?

Posted by derail on Apr-16-2008 12:11:

Aha - hey there Alan!

I was wondering why the file tried to unzip itself over an existing file of the same name - I already bought this soundset from you on eBay a while back! Some great sounds in there. I noticed the .syx file is dated a year later - have the sounds changed at all? The patchnames look the same...

Regards

Fabian

They are the same. Are you sure it isn't the MIDI that's dated a year later? I remember having to convert the syx to MIDI for someone later.

Thanks. EVERY sound in Famicom is in my NL3 bank.

Hrmm... I assume you're talking about the bad-ass 303 like effect from the audio demo. That was a line done with the NL3 and then I chopped it up in Cubase.

how about a negative price?

Yeh, I kinda got lazy and just used a track I did as the demo. All the sounds in the track were from the NL3 bank, so I didn't see why not.

This will help me pretend i have a NL3.

Don't have a NL3 ( ) but this sounds fooking awesome man. Great work!

Can't wait to hear the Ti soundset, & I hope it sounds even half as good as the NL3 one. Keep it up

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

If you want to hear a demo of what the TI soundset can do, listen to Remember Me which I just uploaded to my MySpace. Every sound, except for the piano and percs, will be part of the upcoming TI bank.

Thanks for the kind words.

I've put this out on 3 forums and only three people have downloaded the Nord Lead 3 bank. I guess that goes to show how popular the great Nord Lead 3 actually is... Manuel Schleis (Vengeance) said the same thing. His NL3 bank is one of the least selling ones.

Wow Alan, how about that? And I guess I'm one of those three people, though I already had it?

It definitely seems like the Virus is numero uno in the trance scene - but not without reason, my Virus KC sounds great. If Clavia wanted a bigger slice of the trance market they'd gear some of their presets towards the trance style.

It's a really great complement to the Virus though - the Virus sounds massive and phat, the NL3 sounds very defined. Definitely a great combination.

It's up to 7 now. Only one person has paid for it. Even if no one pays for it, i would still keep the price scheme. I made the sounds for my use, too... so I'm definitely getting what I wanted out of it.

Alanzo, how does putting the Nord Lead 3 in the input of the Virus work out ?

I don't have an NL3 anymore but I didn't try it when I had both of them.

Posted by alanzo on Apr-30-2008 02:30:

So I've gone through all of the samples I've made and compiled this audio demo... every sound on here is part of the sound bank :

http://www.alanmarcero.com/mp3s/nl3.mp3

It's the best I can do as I don't own a Nord Lead 3 anymore. Something I regret selling (I needed the $$).

Sounds good, and you didnt use that cubase delay that Vengeance dude used.

I mostly use this freeware delay : http://mgaudio.de/modules/main.php?...oducts&lang=eng

It works well for trance as it has a lot of really nice presets. I should really get used to using something more powerful, though.

Posted by Subtle on Apr-30-2008 02:45:

Been using that MG Triggergate for years now.

Will get the rest of the plugins on that site as well, i really like those simple stable plugins that does simple things.

Demo sounds great.. If I had a NL3 I'd buy this from you, but I don't
