Tiesto at Fesitval Hall 26th April

This is fast approaching, really starting to look forward to it now. Any ideas on how long his set will be?? Any thoughts on the venue etc? Sucks for bands IMO but may be good for a DJ.

heading to the sunday show

not expecting a whole lot, will be nice to hear traffic and urban train along with some of his older stuff, but i was never a fan of his last few releases...hoping for 4 hours or so, although they better release the set times soon because i dont want to rock up and listen to smilie for any longer then 10 minutes

bring on armin imo :P

i'm not expecting anything, haven't payed attention to the ugly bastard in a while, all I want to hear is suburban train one last time and/or Magik Journey..... the latter I hope the former I doubt.

his career??

fkn last few remixes make me so angry
when i heard smilie was opening, a few weeks ago, i laughed for a bit, happy that my decision not to get tickets was entirely justified...

x2

I'm silently (well, vocally, actually), laughing at all my mates who keep saying "see you at Tiesto...oh, wait. Why aren't you coming again?"

Going tonight! Wooyeeee! Saw Tigs playing a lot of popular trance, can't wait to see what he spins

one of THE best parties i've been to. Crowd up for it, it was one of the best crowds i've been apart of. Tiesto bashed out some pearler's!! I don't understand what people are bitching about regarding his mixing, it was totally spot on and he had the crowd by the balls for the whole 4 hours. Last tune def ended the party with a bang barbers adagio....and he did play suburban train and fvck was i out of control at that point!!!

10/10 for me and the whole crew that attended.

Only criticism was the lasers, the rest of the production was top notch and the sound, my god!

Posted by DJ Patski on Apr-28-2008 02:24:

Agreed. I attended last nights show and I was skeptical on his mixing because of the amount of people bitching about his live sets but I fucking loved it.

Tune of the night for me was Suburban Train, I was hoping he would maybe play endless wave but ah well :P All of his songs had everyone singing along and going crazy.

I couldn't feel my feet at the end of the night, I was up on the balcony bit all night with a few friends with a great view, right in the center and plenty of room to dance.

All in all, fucking awesome night - wish it didn't end.

TIESTO @ Festival Hall REVIEW - 27-04-2008

Tiesto was absolutely amazing! Magik might I say

The hall was packed jammers, but for some reason you could actually dance, was very perfect. Lots of muzzas and muzzarinas, but no trouble; just let them do their thing..lol.
When Tiesto was about to come on stage, the main floor was filling exponetially, people ready with their cameras and phones. And then Tiesto came on, ready to spin the life out of everyone. The Visuals were awesome throughout his set! The lights were fantastic! And the use of fireworks and those smoke machines was spot on with the music. Mixing was fine

This is definatly one of the best raves I've been to since Ultraworld. Tiesto smashed out some glaring uplifting trance, then bang-down on tech-trance, then with a CLASSIC tune from his glory No. 1 days. Perfect. 111414564284/10 Wish it never ended!

Tracks that I remember:

The Seconds Before Sunrise
Carpe Noctum (Fire Element Mix)
Suburban Train
Flight 643 (Richard Durand Remix)
Silence (Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise Mix)
In The Dark (Dirty South Remix)
Dance4Life (Original Mix) LOVED THE VISUALS FOR THIS ONE
Timmy & Tommy - Full Tiltin
Lethal Industry (Richard Durand Remix)
Loves Comes Again
Saltwater - The Legacy (Alphazone Remix)
Kane - Rain Down On Me (Tiesto Remix)
Traffic (Original Mix)
Jedidja - Dancing Water
The Chem Bros - Hey Boy, Hey Girl (Tim Davidson Remix)
Klaus Badelt - He's a Pirate (Tiesto Remix)
First State - Sierra Nevada
Elements of Life
D'Alt Vila - Breathing
Imogen Heap & Tiesto - Hide & Seek (Tiesto's ISOS Remix)
Marcel Woods - Advanced
Adagio For Strings (Original Mix)

And here's my first uploaded vid:

Rave? there is nothing rave about these events
uplifting trance, are you serious there was like 3 uplifting songs in 4hrs

thought his mixing was to tiesto's standards, not the best
felt his set didnt flow, got boring the second hour, then he hammered out all his old tunes, crowd loved it, then he went a bit boring again in the middle. It was like sardines in the middle so we kinda stood on the side rafters for a while, was lots of space there jump around.
Festival hall is actually a fairly good venue for these kinds of parties, stage set up was good, lack of lasers wasnt

Rank 1- airwave was the tune of the night

not gonna sugarcoat it
might i add visuals during love comes again was good
shame more wasnt done with any other songs besides dance for life...

Posted by dan_essential on Apr-28-2008 03:39:

Relaxxxx, if I use rave, then let it be, stop being so pedantic and appreciate that I enjoyed it And I did say some uplifting trance so 3 or 4 is enough to satisfy that. I don't need to explain anything else.
His work was just fkn gold

Just be (orig or antillas mixes) & Theme from Norefjell (DJ DAN & CC Remix); was hanging to hear em, but ah, he did well with the other 'pearlers.'

How superb was the yellow confetti at the end? Brilliant!
