Where do you work, and what do you do?

I just wanted to know what you're all doing out there, along with how you're all making out now-a-days (with rising gas, food, rent, etc)

Here's what i do.

Bed Bath & Beyond + Part Time w/ father's company.

I just recently quit my well paying salary job to go back to school last year to finish my degree. I took 3 years off to work full time after leaving school and now that I'm back in school im working part time. I'm making shit money btw so it's kind of disheartening if you will. It's paying the bills but there is little left over to have fun with. The weekends have been pretty bland nothing too exciting anymore

ill graduate soon, then i'll be back on top! Anyone else in this predicament or at least "feelin me" on some of these issues? lol so what's your story?

I think most people know that I am a school therapist at an alternative school for asshole youth who have been to prison for whatever reason. They are 18-23 and have committed major crimes and trying to get there HS diploma. Its my job to make them functional/nonviolent/etc in society.

I hear you on the part time jobs. When I was getting my masters I wanted to kill myself when I had a job, 30-hour/week internship, 6 classes, and my thesis to do. Needless to say, I had a job the first year and quit the second. I literally had zero time to sleep (or workout......freshman 15 times two!) The only differce is that I worked at a nice restaurant and was pulling in $2-400 a night.

I am a dentist... have 2 practices in queens and brooklyn...

I recently developed a new found love for trance... actually at PVDs last concert at Roseland... and ever since have been reading at TA...

I am 33yo... and already can tell I am too old for this...

But, I figure some of you guys would be surprised to hear a dentist on this board... hahaha

Freelance for Universal Music Group and Bad Boy Records (Warner Music Group) on new media marketing. (its not all that fun working around a bunch of egos and shitty shitty music & artists)

Music Producer & DJ of primarily house music. (bit of chilout, techno and trance in there as well as hip hop and sound design/scape/scoring)

If i was in a better situation financially/personally I would just be doing music all day long unz unz unz unz.

College dropout, thinking about going back to school..

I work with my dad, we import and supply different kinds of steel pipes throught the country, deal with scrap metal and have a liquor store in long island. Plus i go to skool for my undergradute in Finance.

i just got a new car insurance is insane, but the gas price does not bother me that much coz our office is just like a 5min drive and i usually dont drive when i go to the city i use the trains. But public transport is kinda expensive too, a ticket to Pennstation cost like $9 one way peak which is insane!! As for rent its our own house but still gotta pay the mortgage. Which is not that big of an issue.

I work in commercial real estate and do property management for strip shopping centers along the east coast. In short I do pretty much everything from accounting, lease admin, prop mgmt and all the bitch work as well. Luckily it's the family business, very small company and i get to roll out of bed everyday with very little concern of what I look like lol!

Zack and I proudly run Cloudbreak Recordings an independent record label. And lets not forget Core NYC, party promotions! And last but certainly not least I am a dj

I have been thinking about going back to school to get an mba but i don't think I really have the motivation needed. I do not want to stop working so I have entertained the online programs. I'm just kinda wondering if it would be worth it...

This is a serious question...should regular dentists take out wisdom teeth? If so, what is the typical method of drugging (for lack of a better word) the patient? I ask because my boyfriend had his wisdom teeth out by his dentist with just novacain and he left the place traumatized.

I had a similar incident. Regular dentist, hardly any numbing agent, tried to pull it out and it broke so he had to send me an in emergency visit to an oral surgeon where I had to endure more digging but at least they knocked me out. Ever since then I ALWAYS go to an oral surgeon for extractions.

Thank you! That's what I was saying, at the least give the kid some laughing gas! He has had numerous incidents with this dentist too many to mention.

I went to an oral surgeon by my house. All 4 of my wisdom teeth were impacted, so they knocked me out (which felt AWESOME...haha). I'm sitting in the chair, feeling my arm get cold...next thing I know I'm in the waiting room trying to stand up...next thing I know I'm in my bed all sorts of fucked up. Apparently I was talking jibberish too, haha.

My sister had her wisdom teeth removed with just novacain, but she went to the same oral surgeon that I did. She had no problem. It's REALLY crazy because you see the guy like pulling the SHIT outta your teeth, and a grinding/cracking sound. Gives me the heebee jeebees...
