**** podolski!

this is to all the people out there that hate traitors.

Łukasz Podolski born on June 4, 1985 in Gliwice , Upper Silesia, Poland is a fucking ******.

Podolski has abandoned his polish identity and currently plays for the german national soccer team. In polands opening match podolski scored both goals against his own country poland.

If podolski is too ashamed to play for his own country i dont think that he should be allowed to play at all... just because he now lives in germany does NOT make him german... this is why i think the euro2008 tournament is completely fucked up. THere are very few teams that have players that are actually born and raised in there representitive countries.

Teams like France are COMPLETELY composed of foriegn players, (north african players)...like very few of their team memebers are actually French..

I hope that in the future the olympics dont become as completly fucked up as UEFA tournys have become. where countries have complete foriegneres representing their countries..

(NOTE: miroslaw klose, is also a polish born player playing for germany who has also abandended his country!

- KLOSE AND PODOLSKI EVEN SPEAK FUCKING POLISH TO EACH OTHER ON THE FUCKING FIELD!!!!)

i know that my opinion is polish biased, but does anyone else think this situation is messed up?

whatever man, forums are ment for expressing opinions. isnt it easier to just to ignore it rather than to try to asses its quality..

if not im sure u'll love the chevapi eating thread

Posted by infinity HiGH on Jun-11-2008 16:39:

LOL

Good for him. I wouldn't wanna play for that embarrassment of a national soccer team either.

I brought up a fact that italy had all italian players, who all played for italian teams, then came along cameronesi, who is a great addition but anyways..

look at canada if we made the cup, were a bunch of mutts, immigrants and so on, most of the commonwealth and some of europe is this way.

the only way to keep it all thoroughbred would be damn near ethnic cleansing lol which is a joke

i think there should be a rule of thumb, and thats a certain period of time 10 years plus for example as a citizen or to be born in the country, regardless of his ancestry

the euro's, fifa and so on are becoming a business, now involving tradelike situations...a player form brazil who may not be able to achieve the playing time he could at his position as he could in lets say in Spain can become a spanish national.

If this becomes more common as it seems to be these days, we might as well have a salary cap and draft for international tourney's

I read somewhere that podolski wanted to be part of the Poland National team but he wasn't getting much attention over there so Germany scooped him up. Not sure of the accuracy of any of that but it's easier to stomach than seeing him as a 'traitor'.

DO YOU HAVE CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP?

i think he (kitchTA) should've stayed in poland because now he is a traitor to his country.

Heard that as well. They didn't think he had the talent to invest in him, so instead they told him to play in the Polish Soccer League for Warsaw. The Polish National team has a rep for stupidity and team politics. Now they get to deal with him beating their asses every game.

maybe..but is that an excuse?

he's made enough noise in the club circuit that he would have owned the team now...

would you rather go against your own country or not play at all? whats the motive there, if its attention and fame thats weak..once again not from a professional team but a national standpoint...

also Germany and Poland fucking HATE eachother ppl say that was 60 years ago read articles or watch documentaries from the last 5 years even on and off the field alot of them would kill eachother literally...

he would have been better off playing elsewhere if he wanted to displace himself from his national team

He might've already had a German passport. Heck, he probably lived in Germany for a good part of his life like a lot of Poles do.

Nope. I asked my gf, he played for legia warsaw if i spelled that right...

but let a black guy play for them who gives a fuck as long as he's born there or spends an X amount of time in the country...

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Jun-11-2008 17:46:

it shouldn't matter if you were born in the country or even live in the country. If you have citizenship then you should be eligible to play for them.

He wasn't born there or didn't spend X amount of time lol they gave him a wife to marry so he became a citizen. He doesn't speak Polish or anything. So with the OP crying about a Pole playing in Germany, Poland did the Same thing with a Nigerian player.

The United States has a defender of French ancestry named David Regis. Japan has a midfielder born in Brazil. And Poland has Olisadebe.

i've never seen him play national, never knew, i thought he only played club

The lines of the German/Polish border have been redrawn so many times perhaps the guy feels his lineage is more German than Polish.
