Since I've never seen Armin, and there's Blake opening, and I'm leaving FL soon, and I've never seen Green Iguana... I still won't go to this.

Thanks for letting us know. BTW, no one cares...

It's ok bro, reach for the lasers! PLUR!

Posted by jsweeney51 on Jun-25-2008 17:22:

Way to stereotype, you're awesome.

Posted by epdarks on Jun-25-2008 17:38:

Just having a little fun.

People still listen to trance?

Posted by jsweeney51 on Jun-25-2008 17:54:

Why people have to insist to bash others simply because of the music they listen to is beyond me. Isn't that supposed to be whats great about music, that there's something for everyone out there? Who cares if it's not your cup of tea, to each his own bro, try being a little more open-minded.

Posted by epdarks on Jun-25-2008 18:11:

You claim to be open minded, but you listen to Armin van Buuren? The most popular, mainstream, visible artist in electronic music? What's so open minded about that?

I get the cup of tea argument, but I don't see you searching that hard for a unique sound.

Posted by snatonsb on Jun-25-2008 18:27:

Sucks Armin had to go too mainstream but he isn't that bad. He can still throw down a good set minus all the jesus poses and tears he sheds lol.

He's one DJ I listen to, he's not the only thing I listen to. You don't know anything about me, or what all types of music/DJs/producers/genres I prefer.

What does this comment accomplish? ^^(its only TA... got it.. but it still shows immaturity)

I hear you with the comments towards Armin being mainstream etc... and I totally agree with you.

But for a casual listener such as myself who doesnt d/l music anymore or hasn't ever DJ'ed in any capacity, his mainstream stuff might just always seem new and fresh. Also the "played out" anthems aren't played out when you don't listen to the music like years past.

So hating on Armin or the whole trance scene isn't so founded. I'm not new to the scene or unknowledgeable in the subject, I have just been a bit more occupied with life than the EDM scene over the past few years.

It's easier to go to an Armin show and know what to expect, than to spend time that I don't have to search for and listen to lesser names so I can be open minded.

I'm just starting shit for discussion sake, which FLTA severely lacks.

not everyone has to search for a unique sound.... not everyone wants to search for a unique sound.

Dude seriously, get a life. If you are counting on a trance music message board for your entertainment, you have some issues. If you don't want to go to the show, no one really gives a shit.

From the tone of your post, it sounds like you take this board more seriously than me, and yes I do use this board as entertainment. So I say a couple things to get you talking... and all I get is a personal attack?

I'm just trying to ruffle a few feathers, and I appreciate it when people do the same to me. Prove that Armin can play a decent set, and then I'll stop w/ the hate.

Posted by av1 on Jun-26-2008 01:54:

Truth is that AVB refused to sign one of epdarks' Armin posters and Armin action figures and that is why epdarks hates AVB so much

Posted by epdarks on Jun-26-2008 02:14:

I dunno, maybe I'm being over the the top. It's not just Armin... it's all of the big trance names. As I lost hope in them I lost hope in the entire genre.

Posted by echoform on Jun-26-2008 02:54:

This thread is GOLD..

LOL!!

Posted by Kevntampa on Jun-26-2008 03:45:

I have to be honest, as bad as the Prog/Trance scene has been in Tampa I'd pay the money to see Blake Jarrell...anyone agree?

that i dont mind... it depends on my mood too... that particular night i posted, i was a little more literal and took offense to it, but i dont mind a verbal spar every now and again to get the posts flowing.
