Coldplay - Viva La Vida (Mike Koglin remix)

That was absolutely wretched. Next.
Where was the remix?? All I heard was a shitty electo track fading in and out of the Coldplay song. Wankery.
are you fucking kidding me
plz tell me this was on ASOT so i can ROFL
TOTY
it was only a matter of time before someone made a remix of this that was doomed to fail
Quite possibly the worst Remix/Edit/Bootleg whatever he wants to call it ever made. Have a word eh...
This track calls for one thing only. A WAY over the top Frank TRAXX O.R.G.A.N. remix. it would be so cheesy yet so much fun at the same time
Sure this was on deep blue radio show.
Pretty weak too.
Cold play need to fuck off that git's voice is so fucking irritating now it's unreal.

Please God, take me now, before I hear this played out at some club.
I'm a complete n00b when it comes to production, so I ask this question in all sincerity... where exactly is the fucking "remix" in this track?
As far as I can tell it's
1. Randon tech-trance tune
2. Viva la vida slapped on in the break
3. Stutter / echo effect with the last vocal syllable
4. Return to step 1.
and this is a "remix"?
Edit: There seems to be a Coldplay Synth stab at the beginning of the clip... so, 0.25 points to Mike, I guess
I'm surprised that this hadn't happened sooner. First thing I thought when I heard this was, "Okay, there's no real drum line in this, so who's going to be the first to bastardize it?"
this is bad. this is not exactly the song that needs the shitty tech trance hard bassline. A good remix of this song could actually be nice I think.
and LOL at 'mikefoyle's rebuttal on youtube to

Ack!!
Though I am not a fan of the original, it reminds me of: "What Else Is There?" - royksopp(trentemoeller remix)
This style of music is the ultimate dada-fest of our time...

I'm not even that big a fan of the original, but it beats this piece of crap so-called "remix" any day of the week.
Every one of these fake-tech-trance producing idiots uses the same damn buildup style.
Filter out the beat
Stutter a bar or two of the melody for a while.
Filter out the bass.
Put a big echo on everything and then filter the echo.
Throw a few bass farts in and then...
Bring the beat back in!

Fail remix...There are better Coldplay remixes, like this one(again, imo):
This is really and truly awful. Who let this happen?
