I'm a complete n00b when it comes to production, so I ask this question in all sincerity... where exactly is the fucking "remix" in this track?

As far as I can tell it's

1. Randon tech-trance tune
2. Viva la vida slapped on in the break
3. Stutter / echo effect with the last vocal syllable
4. Return to step 1.

and this is a "remix"?

Edit: There seems to be a Coldplay Synth stab at the beginning of the clip... so, 0.25 points to Mike, I guess

I actually think that this is a song that vintage Mike Foyle (Shipwrecked, Love Theme Dusk) could make a decent remix of.

I think Radio 1 is the worst piece of shit ever nowadays.

Every one of these fake-tech-trance producing idiots uses the same damn buildup style.

Filter out the beat
Stutter a bar or two of the melody for a while.
Filter out the bass.
Put a big echo on everything and then filter the echo.
Throw a few bass farts in and then...
Bring the beat back in!
