Not necessarily. Arnold made his mark with the original trilogy. It's time for a new direction and I think there's some interesting things they could do.

Too bad they didn't end it with a frame of T1000. Showing the title was anticlimatic...

more like no Cameron, no good. They shoulda never made number 3 and just left it at 2...

This trailer leaves me with a feeling of 'meh'.

3rd movie was not that bad. It had some horribly cheesy moments, cliche overused one-liners, and that TX was annoying as hell until the actress melted off, but overall it was enjoyable, and true to the previous ones.

I haven't seen a bad Christian Bale movie, so I guess I'm giving this one the benefit of the doubt. But yeah, a big at McG

I really hope this is good and not a shit rip-off spawn like Alien vs Predator or Freddy vs Jason.

Posted by AustralianGQ on Jul-18-2008 02:39:

i love how some of u bash the movie from a 60 second clip.

anyways i saw this yesterday and the teaser itself looks awesome. christian bale will make a good john conner and the director is taking this film in a positive direction that relates to the storyline accurately...its gonna be a sweet movie. and rumours are that arnold will be in the movie for a cameo.

Posted by Spike on Jul-18-2008 04:54:

well if history has taught me anything its that sequels usually suck...even more so when franchises are taken away from the creators and dropped in some1 else lap where theyre left to pick up the pieces. Imo Camerons a genius....friggin hit the nail on the head with the second movie and the 3rd was just a lame hacked attempt to recapture the glory that first 2 had. Actors dont really have that much creative control over a movie, and are usually at the directors/producers mercy. Ill just end by saying that the director of the charlies angels movies directing the next terminator movie does not fill me with confidence

I thought T3 was a real flop- I've seen better plots in 80s porno flicks.

Posted by Aesthetic on Jul-18-2008 05:35:

the teaser is epic as

Posted by Mmanu on Jul-18-2008 09:28:

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh

I looked at the advert: 2 seconds, warner bros logo. So, no arnold, no james Cameron, just bale in yet another WB flick. I'll pass thanks, T3 already ruined it.

they have already cast someone as the new terimnator for the movie. he supposedly looks like arnold. and actually played arnold in a biography of him and his career in the 1980's. their was an article on IGN mentioning who the guy was, i cant remember his name.

So, no arnold, no james Cameron,

Thank god. After that theatrical abortion that was Terminator 3 I should hope slapped Cameron in the face.

It's really not just that, its the fact that we all know McG is the one behind the camera, which already spells disaster.

I'm not writing this one off yet. The teaser did a good job of putting us back into the Terminator universe, if you ask me. I'll +1 the comment on never seeing a bad Christian Bale movie, because he has yet to make one. I know actors have little creative control over a project (unless you are a AAA star like Harrison Ford, etc.), but I still see a gleam of hope. I've loved every Terminator movie, even the third, so I hope that continues.

as if arnolds presence would help

saw this on the computer and as a trailer before 'dark knight'. i have to say. next year is all christian bale. i love his movies, but man i think after the end of next year, i am going to be sick and tired of him.
