Over 200,000 people come to SF for this party, and with Armin there it's gonna be huuuuge!! Who's going??

How big is that Bill Graham Civic center? Does anyone know?

The number is absolute bullshit. The highest number I've ever seen claimed has been 89,000.

Oh, and the only interesting folk on the lineup are Green Velvet and Donald Glaude.

I dunno. Lovefest is the biggest and most known Dance Music Event in California and considering that there were 70,000 + at EDC this year that number is probably pretty acurate. I would say probably closer to 150,000 though.

Again, even the promoters themselves have never said more than 89,000.

Yeah around 90,000 is the highest official number given...LoveFest hasnt had a lot of out of our market or even heavy city marketing it seems....think that number will sky rockets as lineups keep getting better

A lot of his sets as of late have been hit or miss, but he's a Seattle legend and has destroyed almost every time I've seen him. His 2002 Essential Mix is also incredible. Though, given his set I caught at the afterparty two years ago, it wouldn't surprise me if he tanks.

That should give you an idea of what I think of the artists I didn't mention were worth catching.

African American house dj's

Not really interested in the lineup. I guess seeing Omid 16B would be nice though

Posted by calilove43 on Jul-28-2008 22:53:

Dunno

Okay yeah, my bad, haha... 200,000 is a little inflated but regardless, it's going to be huge and with Armin there it's going to be spectacular!

Too much hip-hop and yelling infused into his sets.

I haven't heard a set from him in years, but used to love his older sets(90's-04) where he would bang out hard techno. I know his sound is different now, but I hope Spundae gives him a shot on the float and he brings the heat.

i'd rather he play on one of the techno floats where his sound could really emerge rather than being wedged between some house and trance acts trying to please a house/trance crowd.

Gonna be interesting to see where some DJs play....

Above & Beyond, Christian Smith, Green Velvet, ATB, Benny Benassi (playing at Ruby afterwards), Donald Glaude, and Rennie Pilgrem all use AM Only.

for sure i'm going. its gonna be bad ass
