Making new friends/meeting new people outside your social circle
So I graduated from university last year, moved and work back home where I've lived for 15 years, hang out with the same junior high schoo/high school people who are pretty cliquey and aren't interested in really meeting anybody else. Right now I'm kinda bored with same people over and over, but I'm just finding it hard making new friends...I dunno. Work isn't really an option, all my coworkers are married have kids etc, tried taking random classes, just hasn't worked out. Anybody else have this same problem?
Roadside rest areas are a good place to start
Join a team?... Easiest way to meet people. Go to the gym you will meet people there.
You should join foreign language learning classes.. they are good way to make new freinds as it involves group involvment.

| Originally posted by Krypton Humans are a tribal species, and in an age where everyone lives in close proximity to everyone else, this tribal tendency manifests itself in "cliques." I hate cliques. They alienate you from a number of interesting and potentially amazing individuals.
Try meetups.com and find people who share your interests. Join a pick-up soccer or frisbee game... make a friend on a team, then make friends with their friends. You just gotta be really open about it. If it works, it works, if it doesn't, it doesn't, move on.
