Was thinking off seting a prducer`s on-line comp. may the best trance addict win.
Just thaught off this so i was thinking on my feet. The challinge is this [make the best track you can without using any effect`s].That means no deleay, reverb, vst`s in other word`s all the shit you normally pull on,reliy on to make things sound good."osc,tb`s synth`s generater`s are in distortion also and any other method you can find "without running it through the effect stashon". Sound`s tough? you better belive it no other rule`s apliy other then that stated obove. The deadline for entries are 1 month from now and if somone would like to stand up and judge the comp so that it`s fair would make for a realy intresring comp."hope this was readable enough for all? incase my friend in previous thread finds my grama a matter of humor.

This would be like having a running race where everyone could use only one leg. Sorry, but I think it's a dumb idea.
Oh, and english fail.

ur realy hooked on not using efex right? its the most important thing for you? face it - efex can sound good and make a track better.
and why cant we use vst? well good for me i use Reason so im able to make synthsounds anyway. isnt synth generator allowed either, how the hell are we going to make tracks then, only samples u mean, guess Reason wasnt so good for this comp after all? not even distortion!!! what good track does not have any form of distortion? btw ur language is better now, ur getting there.

It is a really interesting and difficult exercise to try and make a whole track sound good before putting any effects on it. Really forces you to focus on the melody-writing and synthesis.
im starting to see your point now, i might give it a try, pure drums and melody, could be interesting actualy. are compressors+EQ alloved?
No its not that hard. Those who have worked with older trackers will def know tricks to get a lot of features in tracks without using effect plugins. I more or less used to simulate reverb by using specific envelopes and delay was even easier; just retrigger the sample. This would be a basic 'back to the old school' exercise. Its been about 5 years ago though since i last worked like this...

Every time you send stuff you made over to fx you have lost the whole synthectics of the natural sound`s your tring to create.Any one can make a sample`s then use fx to hide the crap sound that was made in the first place. |

airwalker1, you need to learn basic English. It is painful for everyone on this forum to read your posts.
1. You are using the wrong character for apostrophes. ` is not an apostrophe. ' IS an apostrophe. If you are using a standard British or USA keyboard, this is the key next to "enter", NOT the one above "tab".
2. Not every word ending in an "S" needs an apostrophe.
- Apostrophes are used to show ownership (singular - the boy's book; plural - the boys' books)
- Apostrophes are used to show the contraction of a word (she is = she's)
Below are examples of words that do not need an apostrophe. Here, you have used an apostrophe purely because the words are plural; they do not express ownership or the contraction of a word.
