Tickets to the Friday show seem to have sold out fast. I'm in the market for a couple if anyone has some for sale.

I remember the first time Deadmau5 came I had to practically beg people to come see him with me. Now he has back to back shows one of which is already sold out.

What a difference a year makes.

I went to buy mine a day or two after they went on sale and it was sold out... very surprising.. more went on sale shortly after though. I know the first 2 batches are sold out.. not sure how many are left but im sure more will go on sale.

Plus he's number 10 on both the TA poll and the DJ mag poll (or close to there). Clearly Joel has managed to make a name for himself. I know that he is a pretty polarizing figure, especially in the music discussion forum, but I'm proud to have him help represent Canada's talent to the world. Whether you hate the hype or not, you have to admit he's had a pretty phenomenal couple of years.

disregarding the fact that i loathe those silly polls, i enjoy the music discussion forum. but the off-topic room always...err...it makes me glad to be me. lol. it's so bad in there. christ.

anyway. i will be @ the friday show. if only it were on halloween. then, i'd dress up as minnie mouse. bahaha. lame joke is lame. =(

Me and my friends are coming from Vic to see deadmau5. I've already seen him and it was probably the best experience of my life. My friends however have not seen him and they got tickets for Thursdays show and I got tickets for Fridays so I was wondering if there was anyone that wanted to trade Thursday for Friday tickets. I know this is probably very unlikely but I thought I'd try anyways. Thanks

They always have 100 tickets at the door when the club first opens. So you could sell your thrusday tickets and try to buy friday tickets at the door. Just get there early.

Yeah, obviously anyone who puts any stock in those polls as a true gauge of DJ talent obviously doesn't really know what's going on. What the polls are useful for is really showing who has the greatest mass market appeal at any given time. Also, having a high ranking equals great PR as we've seen some local promoters do.

To be perfectly honest, I don't really see how you can rank something like how good of a DJ you are. Also, as many people have pointed out, because so many DJs are producers and vice versa, it brings up the issue of whether people are voting for the DJ or his productions. Anyways, I'm not trying to rehash old debates, but I raise the point of Joel's ranking simply as an indication of his seemingly meteoric rise to fame and mainstream acceptance.

But yeah, I'm excited for Friday. Notwithstanding that pretty much all of my friends will be there, I had a great time the last time Deadmau5 was here. It was a pretty large improvement over the first time, I'll be honest, but then again he's improved a lot as a performer. The transition from producer to performer can be awkward for some, but I think the great strides that he's made are remarkable. I mean who wears a giant mouse head? Love it or hate it, it's a pretty hard icon to escape now in the world of EDM.

If anyone is seeing Joel right now, please feel free to post your thoughts. Otherwise, it sounds like tomorrow will be an epic night. Before you call me a Deadmau5 fanboy, just about every person I know who likes edm will be there. That just about guarantees it will be a party to remember. So thank you Mr. Zimmerman for bringing out the hordes.

yeah i went last night.. it was ughhh pretty "packed to say" ... It started off with just electro for the first hour.. didn't really know any of it.. the dance floor was too packed getting pushed around.. iwasn't really having a good time.. was about to go since i was going to friday anyway where i could replan things.. but an hour in it started getting really good!! really glad I stayed.

the dance floor kinda got less rowdy later.. where i started to dance to all the psy stuff in the last 45 min which was excellent!!! absolutely loved the last bit and the middle where he played all of his common stuff.

so i advise if you are not feeling it early on.. go upstairs where its cooler (it got hot in there) and chill with some peeps.

hahaha had a good bit of fun last night! but yeah, was unfortunatley a little under the weather... had been flying some insane hours all that week... and oudlnt get my head on straight, so to speak.

but now after a f'n great and much needed 12 hours sleep + recharge im ready to pull out the stops tonight.... this is gunna be fucking rad.

i say they sold about 200 too many tickets.. coat check was filled completely on friday.. there was no where to move i stayed up top the whole time where i had a good time! 2nd night there wasn't really any psy stuff. it was pretty different then the thursday show i thought.

yea first night he played this kinda psy stuff at the end at the thursday show.. if anyone knows what track this is tell me
