Toronto fans prepare, for Berlin Calling, the long anticipated movie release from Director Hannes Stohr and BPitch superstar Paul Kalkbrenner. Berlin Calling is a fictional story of a Live DJ who makes it, and the realities of life as a superstar...

Looks sick!! Especially cause the Director has the same last name as me. Hopefully it gets fully released cause it's hard to actually go to movies during the festival (and I'm too lazy to make the effort).

looks like a pile of amateur shit that will further heighten the concept of electronic music being about sex, drugs, drugs, drugs, booze and gays

Dude, electronic music wouldn't have the following it does if it weren't for those things. It might not be about those things for you, but it is for many of the people listening out there - the people creating the momentum and the excitement of the best parties around the world - you think they're all sober and straight?

Posted by Skipper on Aug-22-2008 23:54:

Where can I rent this? Is it out in regular video stores?

(I'm not watching it on a Fri or Sat night because inevitably it will make me want to rave.)

no but it would be refreshing if there were other angles on it portrayed in movies some time...

Stop trying to justify your addictions to liquor, drugs, and gay sex!

like what?
What, exactly, would sell moves like sex, drugs and bi-curious girls? because I seriously can't think of anything.

My god have you no idea about our little scene's origins????

If it wasn't for these elements, we'd all be......god I don't even want to think of it.....

I know it may sound bad but trust me...its not....

Anyway...I'm always a supporter of roots.....

My God cos all that was involved was alot of drugs and not the creative minds of the forefathers of electronica nor did development in technology create new instruments and methods of producing music

Where can I see this movie?

OMG! The sequel to our 1st movie can be us discovering this whole "new side" of the scene
BRILLIANT mentholy!

Posted by LKD on Aug-23-2008 17:23:

i guess u all just love being associated with chemical drug additction and lack of any social life or well being....im sorry...we should have more movies about electronica and drugs

Posted by Aleks_B on Aug-23-2008 18:03:

word up El K Dee!

i am not denying that drugs have played a role in this culture, but it would be nice to be able to provide outsiders a friendly introduction into EDM, instead of displaying the shocking dark side. But i guess that woulden't sell like shock value does.
