Hypothetical Situation [Age-related]

What would you do if one of your friends told you they were actually 3-4 years older than they originally told you?

hypothetical: they told you they were 26-28, but later on tell you they are 30-32.

i'm not talking about significant others or anything like that - just a good friend. would it change anything for you? would you lose trust in them?

I would probably lose a little trust and respect for them, as well as think they are a bit crazy. Who would lie about something so stupid for seemingly no reason, other than their own insecurities?

lol. there's no real "answer" i'm looking for, just curious how age and lying plays into people's friendships and lives.

This.. I just wouldn't see it as such a big deal, but why the hell would someone lie to me about something like that, especially if we're already friends It would mean a lot though if the person was starting to seem untrustable in other stuff too and I'd seriously consider whether I am able to really trust the person anymore or not.
