GIANT CLUB (OC) - HEAT Nightclub

... looks like Thursday nights will no longer be at Tentation... Although tentation is only like 5 minutes from my home, I'm kinda happy for the change.

Any thoughts??

Anaheim??? This is a real bad move. They will be back in no time, They moved to a different club last time and then were back because it sucked... Tentation pulls a real good crowd.

club heat is pretty cool. nice soundsystem

I been wanting to go there for a while. It looks like I have an excuse now. Hehe

No, moved back because Club Vegas was too large for the amount of people that go.

Tentation's capacity is 500, Club Vegas is 2,000. Heat is 900 which should be perfect.

one typically only makes a move like this if there is a good reason for it. no further comment

The people that go to Giant OC vs Giant LA only go because of much better crowd and vibe....

Newport Beach > Anaheim

remember Giant is in the business of making $, not trying to compete for the best looking crowds. if you can put in another 400 paying customers in your venue, its in their best interest. yeah some of the Newport people probably won't drive over, but then they won't have the sellouts for the big djs that have happened in the past year. (or at least sellout with much more $ taken in at the door).

Don't forget those are all the "hollywood-type" club nights, they haven't had a Giant-type event yet. I'm sure if there are ANY problems at all, they will be quickly fixed, especially with Giant staff at the door.

What horrible reviews. I sure hope the door service is a complete 180 from the countless complaints on Yelp. Lack of an outdoor patio is also not great, but Tentation's was a mess too.

I'll give it a shot for Giant. Not getting my hopes up though.

As for parking, I go to the Gardenwalk often (not for clubbing). The structure is not close, but I don't mind walking. I'm pretty sure you'll need to get validated when you get to the club though.

Tentation can't handle the amount of patrons that attend when Giant gets the DJ's that pull crowds!

Looking forward to checking out the new venue!

Those who say Newport > Anaheim are in for a treat. Heat is at a new outdoor mall in Anaheim down the street from Disneyland. It's really nice, trendy, and parking is not an issue. There's also tons of restaurants, movie theathers, and other places to each, shop, and wine in the same mall. It's right off the freeway too. Really nice area. I still haven't been to Heat, but let's hope it's all worth it.

Remember I told you guys a while back that FUNKTION ONE was coming to OC? Well, this was it. I also knew Giant was moving there many months ago. They were supposed to have Paul Oakenfold for their grand opening.

I been wanting to go to Heat, so this is the perfect excuse. One thing though, I have heard stories where people mention the owners are kinda stupid and can get pretty retarded at the door. Let's hope their retardednes won't affect Giant.

I remember there was talk of the move a while ago, but... They haven't even promoted for this yet!

btw, Fuel is 13 minutes away from Tentation per google maps.
