anybody doing TA fantasy league for basketball?
knicks will probably rebound this year but i don't know if they will be good enough to make the playoffs yet. crawford should have a big year in d'antoni's system.
It'll be a successful season for the Knickerbockers overall if Zach Randolph get traded to clear their books when the big boys are free agents
seriously
Biggest turnaround? Portland.
Champs? I gotta say the healthy Bynum only helps the Lakers.
my picks ..
Biggest turnaround? Miami. Not much of a Miami fan, but they have some key roles filled, and they look very young and quick. we'll see how their roster takes them, and how dorrell wright and mark blount play with the big boys. I am also a big Portland fan.
Champs? Boston of course by paper looks like a strong favorite. On the West side, anything can happen. Dallas with Carlisle ? Houston with explode Artest? can the spurs come back to the Finals again (Ginobli being out the 1st couple of weeks is a blessing in disguise for the Spurs, because that allows him rest before the All Star break)? Lakers with the big 3? the Jazz? the Hornets with new addition Poset? we will see.
biggest turn around: either the blazers or the bulls (yea, i'm a homer)
champs: heat (not the biggest turn around since they only sucked because wade was hurt)
I will only laugh at the knicks until they make the playoffs. They could have kobe, wade, and lebron. No playoffs = same ol' knicks.
If they do then we will see around april. No more next season this and next season that and new coach new prez. Playoffs or bust. Then we can talk about how good they are or could be. Before that it is suck suck suck and we all already knew that.
As for my team Orlando, goal is out of 2nd round because they had a good year for the chem to progress.
Golden state removed their best offensive player for 30 games due to his incompetence during the off season and his contract he signed. I think he is hurt so it would not matter playing wise but they are not paying him those games. I think that will hurt him mentally.
Wade seem to have his bite back so except his team from when he won the championship
wizards...season is young I will save my breath
I wanna see gilbert back at his old cocky ofensive ways atleast
PS. Persoanlly,Blazers are the team to watch this year.
Champs - LA Lakers
Most improved - Chicago Bulls
Dissapointment - Phoenix Suns
Champs: Lakers
Turnaround: Heat (they have no where to go but up right?)
Dissapiontment: Suns
Knicks cut loose Ewing Jr., bring roster down to 15

| NEW YORK -- Right name, not enough game. Patrick Ewing Jr. was waived Monday by the New York Knicks, who got down to the 15-player limit by cutting the son of their career scoring leader. Ewing made a strong late bid to make the team, scoring seven points on 3-of-3 shooting Friday night in the fourth quarter of New York's preseason finale. However, the Knicks opted to stick with shooting guard Anthony Roberson, who impressed them with his outside shooting and was signed over the summer. The Knicks acquired Ewing from Houston on Aug. 29. And though they could sorely use the good press they would have received from keeping him, he apparently lacked enough offensive polish to play under Mike D'Antoni. |

Originally posted by Renzo ![]() Alright, the regular season starts tomorrow and I'm pumped. I think this year is gonna be the year Dwyane Wade returns to MVP-like status. He's playing really well. Let's hope he stays healthy. Lebron wins his 1st MVP this season. Kevin Durant and Michael Beasley will have monster seasons, & Beasley wins Rookie of the Year. And I'm eager to see how Oden and Bynum will do this year. Bynum, Gasol, and Kobe will be fun to watch. let's do this, son... |
bulls will do fine, go on their month long trip when the circus comes to town, and then collapse for the rest of the year.
Greg Oden is made out of glass.
And the kind of glass that is cheap.
