Self-Cultivation

What do you do (if anything) to cultivate yourself?

I know this is a broad and unclear question, but I want it to be that way because, by "self-cultivation", I mean more than just educating yourself. Rather, I'm talking about becoming someone you want to be (e.g. some people may want to look more attractive and then hit the gym; some people may realise they're too nervous/stressed, and decide to learn how to meditate; some may even think they're too shy, and work on their social skills).

If you're not doing any of this, but feel you could work on yourself a tad bit more, feel free to post what you wish to do... and do it!

i'd say a big percentage of my self cultivating comes from simply taking attributes (both physical and mental) from people whom i admire and respect and applying them to myself.

I'd be more pro-active about opportunity. I've let a lot get away from me due to indecision and doubt... I'm not entirely happy with where that's gotten me thus far, and I can't help but think that it isn't the product of bad circumstance so much as me simply not seizing the bull by the horns.

That's sort of what I do. With one sole exception: when I went to a small village in Goiás, and noticed there were no libraries around, no broadband internet and almost no one who spoke a language other than Portuguese.

That made me realise how lucky I am to live in an "Information World", and how stupid I'd be to simply throw it all away. Ever since, I decided to use all these opportunities to become a better person and help others whenever possible.

i am attempting to regain knowledge i've lost with time...its a process but one i somewhat enjoy

I go to uni, read books - both theoretical and novels. Been practicing cooking as a hobby. Also I've been teaching myself to play diatonic harmonica for about 5-6 months now. That's about it. Other than for knowledge stuff I'm pretty satisfied with where I am.

Buying the biggest bar of unopened liquor bottles ever, then inviting lots of friends and not letting them have a single drop, except some cans of beer and some carton-wine.
