Comfort Zone NYD

wow.

i got there at 3am and was one of the first 10 people in there. juliens music was amazing...slowly more people flowed in and soon it was busy (but not as busy as last year) and the temperature started to rise. when the upstairs opened jon jons set was energetic and had people moving from start to finish.

my only complaint (besides the fact that girls shouldn't be allowed to sweat) was that with dj's upstairs and downstairs it was SOOOOO hard to choose where to be.

junkies, steve lawler (special appearance), manzone and strong and the roaches were solid and dirty...like usual.

cops only came in the patio door and went upstairs for like 3 minutes (it was all the same cops that searched my car 8 minutes earlier)

unbelieveable vibe in that place all night. couples creepers, but it is zone...lol.

sucks to be you if you missed it.

ps. there were FAAAAAAAAAR to many pitchers of beer being served upstairs and not enough ice water.

aaaand i think the highlight of the night was when a very giddy jon jon handled me a bunch of balloons and said come on, we have to take these to joee cons. that was cute as hell.

I dont know what time we got there at, was just in time for the start of manzone and strongs set which was amazing, SO love how these guys play at the zone! By the time they were done and the roaches were on it was STUPIDLY hot downstairs but really who wants to leave when the roaches are on? exactly....the roaches set was ridiculous, with nathan not playing as often as he used to anymore i was really happy to get to see him twice while home for 3 weeks

Gonna have to agree with Dirty, my only complaint was that with both floors open it was so hard to choose where to be and who you wanted to hear. While the roaches were playing downstairs jon jon was dropping imo the best set ive ever heard him play upstairs. I was so exhausted towards the end of his set that i couldnt dance anymore but i was still uber happy just sitting and listening.... sikk fucking set dude!

lol......I bought a pitcher at 11:01am and brought it straight to the booth for us buddy!

How was your set man? Did the cops come in to confiscate that Tea Cup Yorkie you snuck in, or were you allowed to keep the fluffer?

How was the sound upstairs when competing the legendary zone system downstairs?

Well.....I got started a little early and by the time I got to CZ my fluffer was already bald so I left in the car.

Sound was good for the upstairs, but nothing like downstairs obviously...

i wasn't down there much when mark was on...it was waaaaaaaaaay too hot but i went down a few times because hes NEVER at zone...he was spinning vinyl, and there was still a lot of people down there dancing their asses off. he played some dirtier stuff towards the end of his set.

Zone was off the wall yesterday....

Carlos played a fairly decent set. His last half consisted of some SERIOUS good mixing + mind fucking tech beats, totally consumed the dancefloor he looked like he owned it up there.

Was kinda disappointed to not hear many of his productions as they are what make a great part of who he is today. Wanted some more tribal as I thought it would be better suited for the environment/atmosphere but I guess the crowd prefers more tech/techno ...

...still recovering slowly

It's just that I've heard of ppl calling Carlo Carlos and it's annoying when someone gets a name wrong....
