Best Trance City In The Usa?

I have the choice to move to wherever I want in the United States soon, and I just wanted to get everyone's take on where to go to hear/see/experience the best trance music? Much appreciated!

It's such a shame that trance can be associated with such frilly, kitschy imagery now when it used to have a dark and industrial or spacey aesthetic.

A long time ago someone made a post charting trance's evolution as a move from "sci-fi" -- future-oriented, mechanical, technologically infatuated -- to "fantasy" -- nostalgia, bliss, unicorns, blah blah blah...
