New Pryda tracks - Reeperbahn/Gavioli.... Samples inside!

http://www.houseplanet.dj/index.php...hn/Gavioli.html

Really liking both of these. Two very different tracks for very different sets.

Gavioli starts off kind of annoying but the end is pretty epic.

Reeperbahn is something you'd play at a gay festival in Brazil during the summer. Gavioli isn't too bad. It has this dark techno sound. Sounds like a peak-hour Digweed tune.

Overall, meh!

EDIT: The vocals in Gaviloi ruined it for me.

These 2 tracks are not pryda13. Looks like they will on his album. For samples of pryda13 check out prydzs myspace.

LMAO are these for real?! They're completely recycled tracks Eric must be bored.

Posted by iammesol on Feb-07-2009 22:39:

They're real indeed, and like bongus said, not PRYDA013

They'd both work though. Reeperbahn is cool, I like the vocals and the vibe they would bring to a party. Though I think its getting more and more apparent that Prydz is more of a talented engineer than he is talented artistically. Still highly respectable and in a class by himself, not many can get musically average tracks to sound so good. Actually it's even hard to say he's musically average because the way he arranges his tracks always have an impact on dancefloors and make the crowds swoon when they are played.

I predict the next release will be called "Glorgnuk/Yakatikiniki".

He says he's gonna release that album since fuckin 2006.

I'm going to assume that Tyrone Cooper - Wonderland is just being mixed into Gaviloi by Tong and that it isnt part of the song

Posted by iammesol on Feb-09-2009 00:56:

Correct.

Pryda 13 sounds like it will be really good. I'm excited

Posted by Seppuku on Feb-10-2009 19:19:

I definitely like the Pryda 13 stuff better than this.

When's the last time you've enjoyed a Prydz release, Jake?

Those aren't Gavioli's vocals. Tong laid an acapela over it.

Posted by Shudder on Feb-14-2009 11:15:

not digging any of his new stuff at all...

i think his remix of sebatien leger - the people is better than his recent productions as of late

Posted by RickyM on Feb-14-2009 13:23:

Gaviloi is the better one, the other one was promising to begin, but went no where.

Posted by iammesol on Feb-18-2009 14:10:

Pryda013 out on beatport now.

Posted by PETRAN on Feb-18-2009 14:51:

Hm, Pryda 13 (Animals/Miami To Atlanta/Loaded) sounds quite interesting, i usually like Prydz releases because they have a nice supra-polished, compressed feel about them, and as a previous poster said, the engineering is top-notch (demonstrating some nice acoustics).

From the samples in beatport, "Animal" starts as a typical retroish/commodore-64-sounding electro-houser but develops into a more arpeggiating and trancey blade-runner-like track. Which makes for an interesting resut, especially in the dancefloors! In the same vein, "Miami to Atlanta" starts with the raw and retro electro sounds before leading into an epic synth-driven break. Both of these tracks sound like what would happen if some 80s synth-pop/electro-pop musician decided to make trance or prog-house music!

Final track, "Loaded", is a much more deep'n'proggy twisted afair, and from the samples it sounds quite different from the previous two tracks, demonstrating some twisted synth-riff coupled with an ominous bass and beat and seasoned with some horror/mystery-movie pad on the back, resulting in an interesting atmospheric dance track.

Overall, the realease is quite interesting from the samples.

I bought Pryda 013 first thing this morning and.... I came.

I love this release. Loaded is a great dark proggy track, Miami To Atlanta is the emotional climax, and Animal is just plain badass.

My only complaint is that one part in the breakdown of Miami To Atlanta where it seems like the track is skipping. To me that seriously brought the energy level down but it can probably be edited out (i hope).

Summary: Awesome.

That's basically what Eric is.

Glad you guys enjoy it! Can't believe Miami To Atlanta is actually out.
