The Amazingness of Australians

So I'm sure you've all heard about how the province of Victoria is being ravaged by bushfires both naturally and manmade start. I just moved to Queensland and have been awe inspired by how generous and loving fellow Australians have been to their unfortunate neighbours in the South.

Not even three days later over 30,000,000 donated to the Red Cross AU and people are telling the government to give their bailout money to the people affected by these fires. How amazing is that spirit and love for their fellow countrymen?

Long live Aus!!

Australia is one of the most independant/self-sufficient countries on earth.

Ah you mentioned all of the things that have kept me from going. I'm not a fan of wildlife.

I've lost too many friends to the outback these days. Logan, Kelly and soon Kimmy. Hmf. Guess these ladies really wanted to go down under.

Come home

I don't fancy the idea of getting killed by a fuckin' elephant either.

I'm living in the rainforest and I've yet to see a spider. I mean they're here but you just have to have common sense and keep your place clean and not leave damp clothes lying around on the ground. The crocs tend to thrive in the rivers and off the coast and the only water I'll be going in is the Great Barrier Reef which I happened to be in today and it was one of the most beautiful dives I've experienced <3 All the fishies were happy and not afraid of humans unlike everywhere else I've gone.....I even got to pet a turtle! They treat their wildlife with respect here and being an animal lover myself that makes it even more awesome here.

As for the abos.....they're a hell of a lot more interesting than the ones in Canada! You've got your twats but for the most part the ones I've met were very friendly. Maybe it's just the sunshine but I haven't met anyone here that was cold. Also people were digging out of their own empty pockets to help bushfire victims and it's been such an awesome display of love for your fellow countrymen

Ps Vegemite tastes like ass
