Greatest electronic musician of all time?

Who do you think it is?

Your opinions should take into account creativity, technical skills, vision, uniqueness, variety of works, timelessness of work and anything else you think is important.

I'm still thinking about my choice.

Brian Eno

*edit*

I meant Tiesto...

I love Oakenfold, but I would not count him as one of the great muscians in electronic music.

Maybe the greatest promoter of, probably the best DJ of the 1990's, but not the greatest producer.

This thread will be a fucking nightmare. Paul Oakenfold? Has he ever made a track without an engineer doing half the work for him? Jesus Christ.

I can already see what this thread will become: people listing their favourite producers, with the occasional concession to historical context. It's absolutely impossible to make this kind of decision.

Im not going into this discussion again.

Its impossible to decide yeah, cause its a matter of taste.

But from an objective point of view, Jean Michelle Jarre ?

You're probably right. People are amazingly retarded when it comes to things like this.

I nominate Simon Posford.

Even though I only like about 6-8 of his tracks, I also have massive respect for Anders Trentemoller, though I think he's many years off being in the same league as the true greats.

Also, the guy made Flaming-fucking-June. So props goes to Paul van Dyk as well.

Agree, not only a matter of taste but also a difficult choice. I can't decide who even for me is the greatest.
JMJ and Vangelis also crossed my mind though, but what does someone make the greatest?
