I don't get it lol...you saying it was bad or good?

what did they do on there? just hit the play button for a song or play it out with syths or some type of instrument?

they did synths and stuff with a drummer and two vocalists that had a hip hop touch. it was different and unique.

those vocalists killed the song, no respect, whats with the texting lol

Re: MSTRKRFT live on Jimmy Kimmell tonight!

I love MSTRKRFT, brilliant artists... but what the fuck was that? There is no way in hell that they were even happy with that? hahha

From what I could hear (barely anything) of that synth beat it sounded really dope but the vocals on the song were catastrophically awful lol

Pretty sure he was checking the lyrics to the next verse; oh wait there was only 2 lines in the entire track.

To be fair that isn't reflective in anyway to what you would expect when seeing them live... Dance music as a format is impossible to package and put on air "as is"... this single off their new album is probably the easiest for said packaging, non-edm people need vocals otherwise they get confused hah

Posted by CAKE on Mar-19-2009 16:50:

I have that track and it didn't sound too off from the studio version lol

They shouldn't have even been on Jimmy Kimmell.....if they can't go and do their typical performance then they shouldn't be trying to dress it up for television as something it isn't.

LOL - that's Noreaga (from the group Capone N Noreaga).... fuck he's really desperate for a cash grab on this one. They actually were a serious talent back in like 2005 (think the album was called War Report)

Remember Justice when they did D.A.N.C.E. on Kimmel? They didn't even perform, they just had a cover band mimic and lipsync the song with the band dressed as 80's music stars... Justice just stood off to the side...

Norega was dope way back solo in 1998 with Superthug (Neptunes first major beat production) from his album NORE... "They found Manuel Noreaga?! In the PHILLIPINES?!"

But as for thier album, meh, it's decent, VuVuVu is obviously the standout track and still a stellar drop in any set! I LOVED MSTRKRFT back when thier first remixes of DFA1979 and Metric mixes...and The Looks was a massively dope album for it's time. But now it's all full of laid over cheesy lyrics ontop of chainsawy grinding repetitive beats, it's not even really original considering what's been released by others in the past year. I was really hoping for something different with this album with thier self-proclaimed love of techno and alternative, didn't expect them to rehash thier old stuff... was hoping they would move away from thier hipster neon american apparel style.. Although JFK solo has been making some nice mixes and productions, still love his Baby Techno track.

They do rock a party tho, lots of fun at their shows! Nothing will compare to their first time I saw them live in the tent at Labour 2007! That WAS a fuckin party! When they dropped Paris and Stardust's Music Sounds Better...

*FINGERS CROSSED* hope there are some good remixs of thier stuff from the new album soon!

I did however really like this track from the new album, has crossover to mainstream appeal all over it! A nice remixed version of this would be great!

And Click Click was very promsing then some douchebag started rapping over that too!
