I found this 2 secs ago on HOFO and from what I've read, it's legit. Ppl got their codes within 10mins to 12hrs.

I just sent my request in for my old treo 680 and for $5.00, how can I say no???!!! If it works, good! If it doesn't work ... fuck it, it's only $5.00

Some web unlocking service offered free unlocking for any BB within any north american carriers for 48 hrs, they got hit with 18,000 orders!

Since the unlocking market crashed, these guys who I listed above offered their service for $5.00 & it's for any GSM phones, not just BBs.

18,000 orders is a lot & their emails server can only send so much within a day. Wonder how they gonna complete their orders?

No dude, 18,000 was the free unlock service ... Not this one. Ppl from hofo got their codes already, mine is gonna be later today. I did mine lastnight, Sunday night.

Edit: Just tracked my order (yes there's even a tracking service), my order was sent in @ 7:36am. Let you guys know what happens in a few hrs.

My Treo are hard to unlock in the first place, I keep flashing and re-flashing firmares and in the past I had a hard time unlocking my 3 other Treos. Went through a few diff companies, only one unit was successful.

EDIT: Reading the thread on HoFo and everyone execpt the Samsung BlackJacks are a success.

There actually has been at least half a dozen promotions in the last couple of months giving away free unlock codes (only for BB).

Got mine to work fine. Now my Pearl is unlocked...WOOT!

lol I'm also scared of it ruining my service from Rogers if I had to get repairs or change something on my phone and they say I can't b/c I unlocked it.
