Can we talk about california for a second?

ok what's w/ the walking into stores and BUYING WEED WITH A MEDICAL CARD?

seriously. i had been to cali many times before but i never saw or knew about this part. i am still baffled. in south florida, if you get pulled over with so much as a roach in your car ash tray, they will arrest you.

i cannot believe the liberal attitude about it in cali, it's like canada almost. also, the quality of weed is ridiculous. wayy better than the stuff we get here. we walked into one of those smoke shops and they had huge jars just filled with different kinds of weed. i couldn't believe i was still in the U.S. lol are there any other states like that about weed?

I didn't know this. I don't smoke, but Florida is as uptight and gay as it gets about weed.

Posted by tubularbills on May-21-2009 21:31:

california also is also $21.5 billion in the red on their budget.

Posted by yukii on May-21-2009 21:31:

yeah, i spent spring break in LA with my aunt & cousin.
my cousin is gay so its very much fun hanging out with him & his buds.
& best of all, he works at the hospital as a nurse = high quality weed at home.
me & my 50 yr old aunt had fun

i hope i get accepted to dental school in CA. *sigh*

WTB more blond hair, blue eyed big titty snow bunnies in Norcal please.

Posted by Slylee on May-21-2009 21:34:

yea and everyone said it's pretty easy to get one of those medical cards. just go to the doctor and say you can't sleep at night or you are too skinny and need to put on weight and bam, they give u a script for a card or whatever.

unbelievable

A few years ago chicago also decriminalized small amounts of weed. I think we are on the right track to have weed legal.

Posted by yukii on May-21-2009 21:40:

mexico also recently decriminalized small amounts of weed, along with cocaine (even smaller amount) & other drugs- now let it's neighbors follow

Anyone gotta link to that vid of the dutch guy showing you how to safely grow weed in your own home.

i saw a documentary about weed and this guy in cali had plants as tall as trees. it's a big industry in some parts of northern cali. it was estimated that 60% of the people in one town was involved in it.

60% is an underestimation in some of those towns.

Yes, we are $21.5B in the red and the legalization of weed would pay down about 25% of that when all is said and done. The Governator has no problem pulling $5B from the state's education fund, yet can't make up for it by legalizing pot? Seems like a no-brainer to me.

LOL!

Good to meet you on Sunday. I wish I knew you were down with smoking. I had a killer 1/8 burning a hole in my pocket all afternoon.

What did you think of The Standard?

Posted by djhaziel on May-21-2009 22:03:

I used to work in a medical building at west hollywood where you would see at least 5 people outside of the pharmacy lighting that shit up

I work downtown in the Financial District and it's not uncommon to see people rolling J's and smoking them on the street corners. There isn't a medical dispensary within 6 blocks of my office.

You know what I realized when I wrote this? In LA proper, to have to go 6 city blocks without passing a weed store is almost unheard of these days. The last I heard, there were almost 500 dispensaries around LA county.

the standard was ok. it was a bit like a typical miami party. hot people, house music, drugs, euro trash dancing in the pool, etc... lol

i was mostly impressed with the santa monica pier area. loved it there.

Posted by gehzumteufel on May-21-2009 22:25:
