+1

Second mouse button is used as the secondary click (right click).

Does the same if you hold CTRL + click or if you have 2 fingers touching the trackpad and click.

That's what happens when they just stick to one thing and that's all they use. Kinda like ordering Medium double double at Timmy's

first purchase the original OSX disc...*cough*cough*

binder dundat...

my only issue was that my damn video card wasn't 100% compatible.

Be sure that your specific video card has a osx driver, because else you won't get hardware accelration , and that sucks.

i did all my reading on www.insanelymac.com
they have a good wiki with a decent list of compatible components.
but make sure you do a LOT of reading on the forum as well because there is usually more to do than just an install of osx.

motherboard is the most important piece of hardware when it comes to hackintosh.
second would be cpu. only dual core cpu's are supported. ive seen a patch for single core but i dont know how well it works.
third would be video card. i made sure i picked one that was completely compatible.

Posted by malek on May-23-2009 01:08:

yeah the first two are for sure because the thing won't even boot to let you install it, so you get the idea right away that your setup is not up to the game...

but discovering that your video card is incompatible after hours and hours of install and fiddeling sucks assssssss

I've been using this for over a year now and it's rock solid and silent, doesn't come close to my old G5. Funny enough, I've tweak it so much for some reason it doesn't load windows anymore unless I load it via VMware, I think it Only likes OSX.

Jay, you mind giving us an equipment list & prices? I'd actually be interested to try this out. You running dual monitors? I have a 20" and a 28" and I wouldn't want to sacrifice any of the realestate..

All you other peeps, anyone running OSX in VMWare in windows 7 rc1 environment? What's the performance like (I think with the latest VMWARE you can run two monitors) too.

osx has its own file system right? does the osx install format the hd to that before copying system files?

ive never run dual displays ever so i cant comment on that.
however, you can find a good list of compatible parts here: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

make sure you do lots of reading beforehand. there are people that keep trying but never get it to work and they end up loading windows on the box. people in a hackintosh chatroom told me that i am lucky to have mine running after one day because many of them took a few days or even weeks until their system worked fine. i did all my research on www.insanelymac.com in their osx86 subforum.
