New Mix: Mark Anthony - Organic Substance

My first mix for 2009. I did my best to choose tracks that had some type of human element to them. I hope you all enjoy it! Total runtime is 65 minutes

Let's give this a listen.

Listened this morning, I'm not even going to try to sum up a review because I know how 'you guys' get when it comes to them

Enjoyed it very much, and it could nay have ended better. I really need to hear more Mathew Jonson stuff. Both of those tracks were absolutely stunning.

edit: Also, I am tempted to use the term 'dynamic' when describing this set.

Dubam..that's great! I agree with MJ's music. I have almost his his entire catalog on Wagon and ItIsWhatItIs. He's excellent. Thank you for the listen I'm glad you enjoyed it. Personally my fave part of the mix is Vince Watson into Carl Craig. I like the way the strings lay together as it gets quiet, then Carls kick drum trickles in.

What do you feel makes it dynamic? PM me if you'd rather

The reason why I blacktexted it is very simple.. I have no idea, man.

My definition of dynamic has something to do with every element complimenting eachother, pieces falling into the right places.

Gladly! Any constructive feedback is always welcome. These mixes are my main creative outlet now that the club scene in philly is petering out. It means a lot to me to be able to share these. There's some really great music in here

That's great Check out the mix between Enoi and Rej at 48 minutes. It knocks my socks off every time. Sometimes I rewind it a few times just to hear the bass come in

Yep, the whole kismet dynamic discussion thing was a big reason why I did it

Hey guys...this was done on 2 Technics 1200's and a Pioneer DJM 3000 mixer. I dont have any cd players at this point my esteemed colleague Doombot has been using it for his upcoming project
