We're opening a NEW club, bringing GLOW to the West Coast

It's a lot of our dreams to operate and manage our own nightclub, and my friends..I'm about to do it! Let me get right to the point: We are going to open up a new venue in Orange County, using the same people who created 'GLOW' and 'Ultra Bar' in D.C.

At this point we are searching for a property and the rest will follow. Location is obviously quite important, we're going to do our best to have ample parking and easy freeway access. Obviously all the other details are still being worked out, just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Frankly, we're still open for suggestions and want to make this club one all of us can enjoy. You can never please everyone, but we know the scene isn't exactly perfect here in Orange County, and we'll do what we can. It won't be an easy task.

Money is not an issue, and this is not a joke. The main people funding this are our good friends who indeed are responsible for GLOW with Panorama Productions (dcclubbing.com) and since they're now living here, they want to do build up the scene here properly. We're very excited to be directly involved in the opportunity!

After hanging out with Dubfire @ Vanguard in April, we got the royal treatment in D.C. a few weeks ago, including meeting Sander Van Doorn @ FUR so it's very cool to see this all coming together. Comments, suggestions, complaints...go for it

Bring a good club to LA with a dress code and a nice set of rules and you got me there every week!!

No washing machines
No E puddles
No guys with tank tops on
No baggy jeans
etc... Basically the opposite of Vanguard and Avalon!!

You're right, clubs like this don't exist anywhere in Hollywood.

we dont have any of this in charlotte. At least not at the clubs where the big dj's are booked in edm. What the fuck is a washing machine anyways ?

come check us out at KING KING - we don't allow glosticky things.

this friday we got Natural Rhythm LIVE + CADE + JONRA + SUN EVIL + DAVE HUGHES.

all are amazing.

10-4.

the only dance club in Hollywood thats not a mess.

(I was at a cheese fest last week at a 'scene' club - long story - but going in the door they were making Ed Hardy wearers take their shirts off and put them inside out! hahhaha. Disgruntled persians everywhere!!!

should have looked in the mirror buddy before you left the house!!1

Lostvission

You probably don't have any of that (washing machines) in Charlotte because you're in Charlotte. =P What's the Asian population there?

Asians here dont listen to edm. They listen to hip hop and half of em have gold teeth. And im still clueless to what a washing machine is in a club environment.

What happened to Heat?

Weren't you the one promoting the hell out of that?

I'll remain skeptical. Good luck though.

They do this ridiculous dance to trance and house music ?? This looks lika a la bamba dance that senior citizens would on a island resort. You guys really do this while zabiela is rocking a set out there ?

not "us guys" (well, depending on how good the bean is, I DO). but its a smaller group of people. that go really just get high. they really make a bad impression of the EDM scene both in LA and SF.

edit** ask Bas. those people are all of his family/friends.

Posted by Nobbie Q on Jun-03-2009 17:25:

That picture is a "washing machine"?

Never seen that done here, but we do get mad asians in some EDM clubs. What they usually do is bring their whole family, so you see some old dudes and dudettes in the club and they chill mostly right IN FRONT of the speakers, sitting on the stacks!

Posted by Lostvission on Jun-03-2009 17:25:

no offense but lmfao to doing this to trance. believe me when i tell you...california is the only place in the world that does that dance to edm. Im still trying to picture what goes on in someone like ferry's head when he gazes out and sees long la bamba line dance forming while he play's made of love.

Posted by Lostvission on Jun-03-2009 17:27:

and when i move to california ( san francisco) i will not take part in this atrocity.

its the same thing here. old asian dudes with young (fobby) asian women. they get right in front and swirl off into the abyss. its pretty gross.

no offense to all other asians, this is why that particular group are called washers.

It's much creepier than that. You gotta see it in person. It's like aliens from another planet.

Avoid eye contact

Haha, it's all part of this wonderful city we call home.

Posted by cache on Jun-03-2009 17:36:

hhaha. that pic is fkcin classic!!!

brilliant!!!

yeah, its always funny to see some 50+ year old asian dude dressed like he just stepped out of a DMC vs Jason Nevins video (It is LIKE that indeed!).

headband obligatory and of course the RAVE STEP yo.

guy from toronto - you have it all ahead of you! hahhaa
billy will sort ya out with tickets to the show!
