That was definitely an awesome set. One of my faves

Sasha's set at Avalon (7/3/2004), involver cd release tour is one of the best sets i ever heard him play.

Posted by somethinfierce on Jun-05-2009 04:56:

im not too keen on Sasha anymore, everytime i see them play together, it seems that Diggers cant get his set to flow cuz they're switching up every 5 tracks or so

i just finished listening to the 200th Transitions show where they spun @ Ibiza nightclub in Washington DC & Sasha sucked balls

the only time that i was impressed w/Sasha was when he opened for Zabiela for his Fundacion tour back in 2006

idk about that...setwise digweed usually blows him away, but involver2 was so fucking sick. Theres no transitions cd that could compare with that. Conclusion = in different ways, both still fun.

how are you even comparing transitions to invol2er? invol2er is more than just a compilation mix...

I know man..what im saying is sasha is still good in his own way. His latest involver2 is pure class and the way he reworked and then mixed each track is perfect. Just saying sasha is still doing good stuff and he's not all zzzz's. Digweed however doesnt do much producing so being a dj is is thing. They both are amazing in different area. Hell digweed has never produced anything good..even under his bedrock guise, the production credit for the melodies and such you heard in heaven scent and all that were Nick Muir's production. Most people dont even know he was one half of bedrock.

heh ok. last time i saw them (wmc @ mansion), i really did enjoy digweeds progression and track selection a lot more but thats just me

Dunno about all this....I thought they kind of lost it back in 2002? Their sets from the late 90's are nothing short of incredible, especially sasha's.

Digweed was always the more boring/minimal one DJ wise for me but they used to complitment each other quite well musically - you git up from S and down from D.

yeah me too man, i agree. I did enjoy sasha's set here last october but mainly cause he was hammering a ton of songs from involver. Nothing like hearing ladytron's destroy everything you touch involver mix hammering through good speakers.

Hell yea! I second that. My all time favorite club night was their Delta Heavy date at the Mayan. I'll never forget that night. I remember I went without knowing how monumental this night was going to be. I went solo too. At the time I didn't know that many people in the EDM scene but I didn't care. It was a fantastic night I'll never forget.

Wow Tigo. I'm surprised you didn't see him when he played at the Virgin Megastore on Sunset. That was the day I met Desiree.

Haha I remember that! I was just thinking about it the other day too, and how awkward it must have been for Sasha to have a room full of people staring at you while you play
