Class of 2009
So, who of you out there have graduated this year into the worse job market in the last quarter century, and what are you doing about it? Personally, i am not looking for any jobs right know. Going to keep my serving job, pass the CPA exam, maybe take an internship, and hopefully in a year things will open up.
I know some of you will have to get a little more creative than that, but how are you coping with a gloomy year? I read an article I think in the WSJ that explained that graduates in a economic downturn received lower wages and salaries throughout their careers than graduates in a good year.
i graduated 8 years ago. sucks to be you joos
The worse job market in the last 25 years has no room for someone of your grammatical pedigree.
I am, and I'm not holding out much hope. In fact, I'm considering taking a shitty job for a year or two and getting my career started when things pick up.

Me too, I'm doing some boring work, pays reasonably well, and I can listen to my own music when I'm not half asleep.
Actually, if you look hard enough, there are still enough opportunities (taken that you're reasonably eduacated and have some relevant work experience). At least, that's the case in Holland..

thanks for agreing with us that hes a idiot !
It certainly was interesting this spring during the search. Luckily I got a few offers and took one that has been pretty satisfactory. That ideal entry-level position never manifested itself, but I'm in a place now where I have a few options - my employer will pay for further education, so another M.A. program is something I'm considering. I'm also toying with the idea of applying for a grant to go abroad for a little while... something I really need to do more of to gain additional experience for my particular career field.

Graduating was the worst thing that's ever happened to me. (Yeah, I'm suffering from post-grad depression as of last month). No job. Teach For America reject. Living on campus still but my lease ends in August, and I have no idea where I'm going to live. Oh, MCAT next month.
