Cosmic Gate 07.10.09 (REVIEW)

i don't know about anyone else but i had an amazing time. brad was great, marcello was great then cosmic gate was great. not sure i've said that about a trance party in a long time. been very meh about trance lately and glad to have gone to a trance event that makes me want to listen to trance again.

it was craziness to see so many people outside of Love at 10:15. another fantastic massive event .

oh and i have to admit at some points i was actually cold so their ac is alive and well.

glad it was a fun night. i was really aiming to hit this event but I spent 3 days straight with Mama Amma and couldn't stay awake already any longer. i'll see them next time i guess. they been hitting NYC quite a lot lately.

god i cant beleieve i missed another cosmic gate party what the fuck was i thinking not going out last night this is what happen when your broke and payroll isnt till the next day suckssssssss. ill be at love for richard durand cant wait... tonight @ stay 244 houston st ill be spining not sure what set time is but its free to get in edm room is downstairs from the main room when u walk hope to see u guys come..

night was pretty good
got there like 11:30 and the line was the longest i ever seen it
took about 30 min to get in...walked in to eco,good opening set especially that last song shit was a bombbbbbbbb
to me cosmic gate started out pretty good but their last hour and a half maybe i dunno it was just too much of a predictable/whoreing out their own shit kinda set
really sucks they didnt play the full fire wire remake fukin skumbags lol gmoney you were furious ha ha ha

good seeing all the tranceaddicts i saw, last night was very fun with all of you i really enjoyed your company, i know seb has some funny pics from the night lol
p.s some of the people in that crowd need to learn how to take a shower and use deorderant very nasty...i told burak that it smelt like 4 day old shepard salad

had a fuckin blast last nite! and was nice meeting u guys eco and raviii u big sweaty goon haha

that 09 rework of exploration of space is dope.. better than original... they better release it

I had a freakin BLAST last night. Danced my ass off, obv. From what I saw Bossi really played well to the crowd, clappin, whistlin, hootin, hollerin (hey, there's a rap song for ya!). And at one point I saw him letting a fan go through his CD book and pick out a song. I thought that was pretty chill.

I was going to leave after an hour or so cause I was trying real hard to stay sober, but about an hour and a half into their set they started banging out imo so I decided to stay and dance.

highlights for me included man on the run, not enough time, the markus remix of sign of the times (WHOA!! the whole club was shaking), whatever remix they played of Mgmt - Kids, whatever the new Rank 1 track was, made of love, carte blanche, this world is watching me.

I'm really pissed I left right around 4 and must have just missed the exploration of space mix. That's one of the first EDM tracks I ever heard I think.

anyway, great great night. Good to meet frozenmango (forgot your name already, im horrible at that sorry) real chill dude though. Great seeing G, you'll be iitee chief. And everyone else. Good times all around

It's funny though, you didn't smell! Yo Andrew, there was a couple people reeeeeeeeally bad in there. I got nervous during the end of my set because I thought it was me, and I had to meet Cosmic Gate, but it was someone near the booth, dunno who... They moved for a few minutes and I realized it wasn't me haha...

Nice set man was a fun night for me too, I really liked the beginning of CG's set the intro was siiick

im real mad about last night. my girl is only 20 and won't let me go in after she got denied. thats all im gonna say as i go cry in the corner.

you cant remember by name cuz i only introduced myself as frozenmango lol. it was fun cheesin with you man! you tore up that dance floor proper haha.

btw, anyone see that guy OD'ing on the floor near the bar? hope he was alright..

love the tracklist, but not as sad that I didnt go though, because it was quite similar to what they played in Toronto (as to be expected).


very glad everyone enjoyed themselves, though, Cosmic Gate and Massive together is sure to be a fakin HUGE event!! <3 <3 Love you guys and sorry i missed out!!




PS: Sooo glad I wasnt there to hear "veracocha- Carte Blanche" (CG remix), that remix just makes me angry hahaha!!) I love CG, but they should have just left that song alone....its probably the only thing they have done that I just "dont get."

I had a blast that whole night. Everyone was very friendly and I met plenty of cool people. I drunkenly shouted out "club love doesn't care about black people" while i was waiting on that ridiculously slow moving line but after that all was good. My friends glow sticks looked awesome in the room. Those blue and white flickering ones if anybody saw those. Cosmic Gate played some great tracks so I will definitely see them again next time they are in town.

why would that thought even cross your mind? honestly at one point i was like there are more black people at this trance event than i've ever seen and black woman no less because more times than not it's just me.

I was at the show on the following night in glow DC, it happened much the same

the only time i see tracklists in DC is when i go to the party myself lolol
