That may actually be the best one you've done yet, though I did like 'Contact' an awful lot.
Great tunes man. I really prefer this type of music at a slower-ish BPM (I'm old, etc.), and you pretty much nailed it.
Will definitely be getting multiple plays. If I can think of anything more specific to say, I will do so.

). I didn't find any suitable stuff, but all the tracks I did download fitted perfectly to make Mimesis from scratch, and unusually for me, I didn't plan this set at all; the whole thing was off the cuff.

Listening:
Intro track is one of the two tracks I haven't heard off. But this has sex written all over. Beautiful, groovy beat and awesome break. Need to track it down. Great opening!
Transition is smooth into the next one, they fit well together. Timedrained album (from which are both the tracks) didn't appeal to me at first but its a growing album. In this set you actually put my two favorite tracks from it!
Again a good transition into Bomb which is by Maelstrom. Not a bad track but nothing spectacular. Filler for the set imo (and fillers are needed).
Nasser's album was one of the best on the prog scene for some time. Fits in perfectly, delivering the goodies.
Decent transition into Bob Jackson but the track itself is a bit less pumping like Step by Step which hurts the flow a bit. But as I already mentioned, Bob Jackson is a very nice track and quickly this nice prog gem is groovin my ass!
Next however comes the track I despised in the Set 10 compilation. A big let down for me by Flowjob. I hate those vocals. Nothing to catch the ear in the whole track, it tries to hypnotize with that steady progressive work but it just fails.
Cloud Politics is a typical Flowjob track and I like it more. The transition was a bit ropey but its ok. Much groovier, much more pleasant for listening.
Vibrasphere remix of Forever Changing comes in and, unfortunately, hurts the flow a bit. Its less energetic and actually the track itself isn't what you would expect from Vibrasphere when that came out. A filler, but not a good one imo.
Ace Ventura kicks in with Stimulator which is a good track (not one of his best imo) but above decent. Gets the things moving again.
Awesome transition into Mountain High, short but sweet! As I wrote in my previous post, this is one of my favs from Perfect Stranger. Its put in very nicely, in its exact place in the set.
A bit rushed transition into Thrilled Version 2. However, the track also delivers goodies. The melodies here are dreamy, the bass line groovy, the rhythm blood-pumping.
I think you got lazy in the last section with the transitions. The last track is the second I haven't heard before. I understand why you put it since it has that "end" feel but imo it doesn't quite fit after Mountain High and Thrilled Version 2. Not a bad one, but I think some other track would be better. In the end, the track grows and leaves me with a good impression.
Overall: The set is nice with few exceptions. The intro and the outro section of it are the best. Flow was ok in most of the parts and, technically, it was well done. Thanks for the share!
Thanks for the lengthy review mate.
I find you very hard to please because you're so active in the scene; I didn't think most of these tracks were particularly well-known and yet you knew all but two (the first one is only two weeks old).
I remember you made a comment on one of ziptnf's sets that all the tracks were old and had been played out a lot, but you forget that for some of us (me at least), psy-trance parties are not a regular thing, and that unlike other electronic genres, there are very few sets available on the internet. This makes it very hard to gauge what is fresh and interesting.
To be fair though, most of my previous sets have knowingly contained a lot of old, extremely popular material circa 2004 (FREq, Jaia et cetera), because that period of prog-psy seems to have been the best (for me anyway).

In my prog set I also used a lot of old and well known tracks (Vibrasphere, Tegma etc). I agree to your statement about 2004 (and 2005 I will add) era. What I pointed in zip's set, and I will say here, is that there are a lot of underrated artists (like the one on yours intro track, or Timedrained) that produce equally beautiful music just like a lot of those at the peak.
Definitely grabbin this when my broadband gets back to normal. I'll comment later when I can.

Started this one, bumping right from the get-go! This first track is absolutely stunning, excellent! The next track is fucking awesome as well, very groovy and funky shit, I would be dancing and losing it if I were anywhere but the office I assume we're at the third track here at 13 minutes, I've loved every bit of this set so far. You've been spinning my favorite kind of progressive music, ones with industrial elements, catchy swingy drum samples to go along with the background riffs and the bassline. Every single thing so far has been perfectly complementary to each other, and it has made for one hell of a sound. I fucking love it. Jesus, the sounds at 22 minutes are intense! 
Loving this one here at 26 minutes. Woah, my brain got a little squeeze for the noise at 33 minutes. The track at 40 minutes is a tad boring, but it's not bad to have filler with such powerful tracks. My attention span kinda drifted off for 15 minutes, but now I'm at 59 minutes, and you're starting to pick it back up. I dig it. Lots more power here at 66 minutes. Finished off with a nice track also.
Overall, I thought this set was badass. The first half definitely more preferable than the second half to my ears. Transitions flawless like usual, and quite a variety of progressive goodness. Excellent work, stub!

I would download this, but I've just bought a stack of albums. Expect a bump sometime in September.
Quite enjoyed this mix. It isn't something I would usually listen to but glad I did download it. Mixing seemed ace as far as I could tell, but to be fair, I wasn't paying too much attention. So it could be quite off base.

This mix was really sick dude. I listened to it once last week but felt that I didn't pay attention closely enough to leave comments so I didn't at the time. Listened again today so I could try to pick out some stuff I specifically like about it. There wasn't anything I didn't like really.
Like I mentioned earlier, I appreciate the fact that I can enjoy this mix because it's not 135 bpm or higher. I find that to be somewhat of an issue with psy (as far as listening to it is concerned, anyway) in that it's kinda hard to keep track of. This slower speed really brings out the intricacies of the tracks themselves and just generally makes the listening experience a lot more manageable and enjoyable (I'm not senile like Stu, but I do burn quite a bit and contrary to some faster is not necessarily better for me). I thought the mixing was really solid and nothing stood out negatively in that area. Flow was excellent as you covered a lot of ground in little over 70 minutes (psy, prog, acid, etc...) without making anything feel rushed.
All in all, would check out more mixes like this if you have/plan to make. Definitely trance music I can enjoy listening to.
