I don't know, but I figured something that full of evil had to be Australian.

Lol. Yeah, I won't lie, it could very well be Australian. If it is though, it's probably from the far north. The heat and humidity up there seems to make 'things' grow huge (and people talk slow).

Posted by Banora on Sep-08-2009 06:34:

Aren't you far north, though?

Its similar to one of the golden orb's, they're part of a very large family of spiders in the southern hemisphere on most continents. So if its not Australian, could be Africa, Asia or south America.
Does look like a ponderossa pine tree in the background though

Not that far, really. I'm in Brisbane (over on the east coast).

Those black shoes with the white Nike socks indicates formal-wear in north Queensland though...

I always forget you're in Brisbane... Just when I think of Queensland I always think of it being very northernly.

That's a fair point. Plus, the guy apears to be wearing a shirt (could be a singlet).

Also the ability to grow a mullet in the blink of an eye and an undeniable urge to own a Ute.

That is definitely a Golden Orb Spider. They live here in Cairns and like to munch on birds.
