Picking Up Girls

So where and how do you pick up girls? I have only really met them through friends of mine so I suppose this thread is both a poll and for my own personal knowledge . So do you meet em at clubs? through friends, at the movies, where? and how do you go about meeting em' do you do the whole "hey how you doin" thing like ppl do in my area lol or do you just walk up and say something else?

Best way is through friends, but if you get serious and break up it sucks (I know, 2 years on and they still don't forgive me! Women ).
I have met girls all over the place, if I see an oportunity I take it, even if it doesn't always turn out pretty. The only lines that work are the ones that have something to do with what you're doing.
eg youre in a record shop and a girl is looking at the same vinyls as you you spark up a conversation about which tracks you/she likes.
The only line that has ever worked for me in a dance (I'm too young to go clubbing):
"You know, I saw you over there and thought I could walk up to you and say some golden pick up line and you'd fall into my arms. But I didn't, so I guess I just have to sit here and look cute."
Once i'm talking to them I usually ask them out to a movie "or whatever else you want to do". The beach, the city and shops are all it ever ends up as (Not including sex).

PS, NEVER say "how you doin'?" or any shit like that as it never works!

Trust me in my area it does work cause one of my friends does it and girls don't think he's the best looking lol. I dunno how it works and the only reason I wouldn't use it is because everyone elsedoes but I wouldn't know what else to say lol.

this is good...the last chic i picked up was yesterday. you wanna know how i did it? i ran into a fence!!

i was playing frisbee at a park and went running after a long throw toward the street. well this park has a big fence(like 6ft high) around it and i didnt think i was that close to it so i jumped up and grabbed the frisbee...then hit the fence.

at the moment of impact there happened to be a car full of girls stopped at the intersection where i hit the fence and the one in the passenger seat got out to see if i was alright. we ended up talking for a few minutes and i got her number

so the moral of the story is...if you want to pick up girls run into fences.

be sociable..talk to them cuz if you dont talk to'em then how the hell they gonna know who u is? strike a good first impression not by throwin one liners at'em...but showing your interested in who they are what they do etc...things u use to conversate..ie, whats your name, where you from, where do you hang, what do you like to do...all builds up into a lengthy conversation. those usually are decent first impressions...or you can just say "i think your hot, you give me a hard on, *wave car keys*" but i dont know how much thats gonna work LOLS

What are some good conversation starters? I'd really have no idea what to say so what would I say when I walk up to them and what kinda shit should I talk about? I've never really done it so it's kinda weird lol. I just need a bunch of stuff to talk about with them.

hahaha, the same exact story happened to me too. i was running after a frisbee, caught it, and ran into a fence and the doctors still don't know if i did break my nose or not. but in my story there were no girls around and the only people that surrounded me were my teammates who came to laugh at me.

But seriously now. . .
Walk up to someone, and start talking to them like they are a good friend of yours. Say something like "Is everything ok with you and your bf? You left Mike's party rather early on friday." Then when you finally "realize" that they arent who you thought they were, they will either say you are mistaking them for the wrong person and walk away, or if they think you are cute, they will stand there, and you have a shot at starting a conversation.

remember to apologize and laugh at yourself after you realize that they aren't who you thought they were.

I know it sounds corny, but it works. It gets them to smile while you are laughing at yourself.

heh, no, that was indeed an 18-year old girl (we talked on phone). it's just that i thought we were dating, but we weren't. i was too stupid to take that "internet thing" seriously.

I think pick-up lines are extremely tacky and corny. If I was a chick and guy cracked one on me id laugh in his face, seriously. This is what I do (and its pretty successful).. i just let the girl know that im noticing her. i dont stair her out and scare her but i just look at her and when we meet eye contact i give a little smile and if shes interested (doesnt have a bf, or thinks ure attractive) she'll smile back and sometimes (which is a complete bonus) she'll come up to you and start speaking, and from there all you do is act interested in what she says to you and make her smile.. shes all yours
