you're not counting the money you'll have to spend on food, shelter, a way to stay clean (shower), water, drugs (only if you're responsible), transportation, ect ect.

Burning man is over priced and the land is fenced off by the United States Government now days. I'm not a fan of that; but is it what is on the inside that counts?

I'll pay 350 plus bring a shit load of drugs and see if i make it out alive. that way i wouldn't care about staying clean/food/transportation cuz we all know walking while intoxicated is fun!

You can't care about being clean there. Dust storms are normal.

Some friends went this year and I am hoping to go next year. We will see.

i would go with someone who has gone.

i have yet to find someone

next year should be amazing, the theme is metropolis. let me know if you do because i myself am planning on it. p.s, where did your friend travel from that he made it on 500$?

i've heard stories of tremendous expense when traveling from the east coast, which is why i waited for next year as i'll be living in california

Don't wait for people you know. Just go and start posting on the forums. Get in someone else's camp that has been. That is probably what I will do if none of my experienced friends go next year.

She drove from SF with a friend of hers. My whole plan is actually going to make it a little expensive. Fly into Sacramento, rent a car, buy all the supplies, drive to BRC and party.

This is on my mid/long term to-do list.

for 350$ you can not leave the house and be on another planet for a few days.

Shit I never really noticed that fence before. To be fair though, the fence is there to keep people from endlessly wandering off. Imho, that is a good thing.
