Redshape - The Dance Paradox LP [Delsin]

Tracklist:
1. Seduce Me
2. Garage GT
3. Bound (Part 1 & 2)
4. Man Out of Time
5. Globe
6. Rorschach's Game
7. Dead Space Mix (Edit)
8. Dark & Sticky

This album has been announced for awhile, but I couldn't find a thread anywhere. Can't wait to hear it in full, but it already sounds really promising. Released October 9th, samples here.

Posted by Seppuku on Sep-24-2009 21:59:

One of the few artists and labels who are still consistent in their output.

Can't wait to get this. One i'll be buying on vinyl for sure.

Wasnt overly impressed by the album as a whole when I first got it, just too much tracks that didnt really do it for me (and still dont)
Bound (Part 1 & 2) is still working though

I'd say Delsin and Ostgut are the premier techno labels in 2009. Anyone else have any labels they feel are exceptionally consistent in their output of techno in 09?

As with anything Delsin puts out, will check this out fochochos.

Mark Anthony is right.

About Delsin i'd agree with him, for me Ostgut Ton is gashly overrated.

Better than Rebirth.

i did'nt mention myself? Besides you got cheeky with saying Ostgut Ton is better than Rebirth out of nowhere, which obviously is directed towards me in some way

The fuck is "fochocho"?

Posted by Kismet7 on Sep-25-2009 06:15:

its 'fer sure dude'

but like Sinatra...i'll do it my wayyy

Ostgut for the most part makes really dirty techno. To be honest I dont play their records much when I'm at home unless I'm drinking and I want to piss off the neighbors. Its very aggressive and loopy and I can see why a lot of people dont go for it. But I'm sure in the right club those tracks would crush you

I'm more into Detroit and Chicago dirty, its a warm and aesthetically pleasing. Something about Ostgut's sound is cold, maybe its today's equipment they are employing. As with Detroit and Chicago records, Delsin's dirty records manage to be a warm and soulful.

feeling a bit of them. dark & sticky, garage gt are ZzZzZzzz... for me though

bound is great though

Just through samples, Bound is the one that stood out for me as well.

I agree. Delsin is for the most part very warm.

Ostgut is cold. Recent exception being Tony Lionni's release on Berghain 03. Marcel Dettmann is probably the biggest reason the releases sound so cold and mechanical. Listen to his track called Guttering on the Deuce release http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF353538-01-02-01.mp3 ...there's nothing nice about it. I even have a hard time mixing this type of techno. Maybe I'm just not used to it. But it seems there's not much room for subtlety or gradual fades. It really begs for fader slams and that's about it.

The new Ostgut takes a big shit all over anything on Rebirth this year.
