EXTREME TRAX final fantasy, just hit them hard stragiht up
vengaboys - kiss (airscape mix) hehehe.
Rui Da Silva - Touch Me
start off with something they can groooove to...hehe
I think BT - Sequences is a great track to start with... I'm biased since I watch that PVD mayday all the time, but its just such a perfect start to a set..
Cheers,
Thor.....
hehe the track u wanted is
BT - Fibonacci Sequence (Hybrid Echoplex Mix)
hehe
but wut i would start with..
is...
JDS - Destiny Calls (Breakbeat Mix)
RMB - Deep Down Below (DJ Mellow-D Mix)
Beam & Yanou - Freefall (Sara Mclachlan Vocal Edit) [u guys prob haven't heard this track but i got it on vinyl, its a promo and its a killer track to start off a set with!)
hmmm
I have always like
Resistance D - You Were There
and I have been wrestling with thhis one for awhile
BT - Mercury and Solace (Quivver)
but thats just cause I love that song so much. I know it's old tho neither of those two are brand new. peas.
I will have to snipe anybody who starts their set with Star 69 ... hehehe.
But yeah, Space Maneouvres - Stage One (any remix) is a nice track to start a trance / progressive set ...
What'd u guy think, does DJ Tiesto- Flight 643 sound good to open with?
hmmm i guess it does.. ubt it can also do wel at peak time if ya speed it up some i guess =p
Afterburn- Fratty boy
ummm...
I dont think you want to start a set with something as epic as Flight 643, or something as hard and bangin as Star 69. Aria - dido in my opinion, is too overplayed. It also kind of depends what kind of set u want to spin. a good one for an uplifting mix to begin with might be Cass & Slide - Preception.. if youre going for more of a move-yer-ass set then try Muro Picotto - Pulsar (megavoices mix) yes its an oldie, but i has killer intro and a superb bassline. :P
DaNNy
I've neva heard mercury & solace out...can u dance it?
IMO, Pulsar & Star 69 are bombs. U don't open w/a bomb. Thats just my opinion.

The Digital Blonde - Sutra
found this single today...you wont be disapointed with this one!! its dark, has a strong bassline, and a kickass intro. there is no major breakdowns/buildups, just a good steady beat. i think i'll use this myself as an intro to a mix
i attached the first 1:36 of it in a sample
Rank 1 - Many miles too soon. it always sound good where ever u put it
Cass & Slide - Perception [Priginal Mix]
i love how this song beginz.
Some Cool starter tunes
Progressive set: Delerium - Innocente (tiesto Mix)
Deep Trance set: Roland Klinkenberg - Inner Laugh (James Holden remix)
Twisted fucked-up dirty trance set - Humate - Sound (Parboiled Edit)
Just to be different: Moby - If Things Were Perfect (u need to pitch this up a lot though
)
Just random cool tunes to start with:
Saints & Sinners - Pushin Too Hard (Sinners Mix)
Ashtrax - Helsinki
Ultra Violet - Heaven (Sky Soaring Mix by Chris Zippell)
Out of the lot, 'Helsinki' can never be beaten, specially if u fuck about with bass levels and cut-off on the big slides n stuff
Peace
I heard a guy use the remix of the theme from Braveheart one time. It came in with just the bag pipe type sound and then let it play for a min. before he switched records. I thought it was pretty bad ass.
i have always thought of Ralph Fridge - Angel [Trance Version] as a good starter.
It's important that it's the trance version, as it starts with a lot of ambience sounds, and then goes straight to the takeoff. Think the tune would set the record straight towards the audience if anthem style tunes is on the evenings menu
Peace
yes sir.
