TA Dinner... Friday

OK ... I know this is mentioned in another thread but it seems that this might be the best way to decide where to go.

FYI - A bunch of us have planned (About 13 confirmed) to get together for dinner this Friday. At Approximetly 7:30.

2 Choices remain...

Hothouse:

Pro: LOcation!!! It is a central location at Church and Front which is a good comprise since ppl live all over the GTA. My sis works there and says resevations will not be a problem.

Con: It can be a hassle to get 15 - 20 ppl to settle the bill. I know that sounds petty but I've had wars with some very close friends over the issue!

Frankie Tomatoes

Pro: Buffet. Meaning that everyone gets the same priced meal. Making it most likely but not necessarily easier at the end. It also seems the most response has been for this place.

Con: Very inconvienent for some ppl to get to. And what i don't want is ppl who wanted to go decide not to because they can't get there.

SO... THere is no time... A decision must be made. I wanna get some input from the ppl who said they were gonna go.

This is a demorcracy so basically we go where most ppl want. Tomorrow however we might have to turn into a dictatorship and someone will decide.

ANd of course anyone else is welcome to join if interested

i'm opting for Frankie's ... just because I live up north hehe .. but yea i don't mind heading downtown either if u guys settle for that.

Hey.

Ok people, my decision is to go to Frankie's, it's close, and I heard wicked things about the food, buffet sounds very tempting as I can choose a massive amount of things I want to eat, hence, MO FOOD FO ME! and the rest of us...lol But...if the consensus (by everybody) is to go to Hothouse to eat then I will comply and go to Hothouse, however if more people choose to go to Frankie's then so be it...the will of the people (God that sounded cheez E) Anyway, my vote is for FT. Laterz.

well lets take an estimate...there are 6 out of 13 confirmed from sauga....about 3 from markham and surrounding region and the rest from elsewhere...oh well just a statement..dont wanna ruin any plans

how 2 get there...

itz not hard to get there if you have a ride.. and it'z somewhat TTC assesible too.

if ur TTC'ing it you wanna take the subway to Finch St. then take the 53 Steeles East bus to Woodbine Ave. and get off there and then walk North on Woodbine about 5-10 mins. You'll see a huge tower of Piza on ur right hand side. You'll know you're there.

If you're car'ing it take DVP 404 North and get off at Steeles. At the intersection head north along Woodbine Ave. and do the same.

2 dozens of really shitty photos

first real meetup with TAs, yay have to say that i had as much fun taking photos as spending the night with y'all, until i loaded all photos to my computer.

here are the photos.

(sorry i didn't know it doesn't have a better way to share)

a lot of them were out of focus so i had to shrink them in photoshop, and when i did that, the colours were fucked up. the more i looked at it, the more i hated myself. maybe that's only because i couldn't bother to do the darkroom work, or maybe i'm back to my depressed self again?

better shots:
Bizz (the first one): sharp, natural, nice depth of field.
Endlesswave: good use of restaurant's light, steady hand.
Waxen w/ Time2Burn in background: irresistibly cute.

bad shot:
Stylez (right?): too dark, too blurry. i suck.

the food was alright there. had a minestrone soup, some roasted veal, salmon and mussels... just too bad they don't have green tea ice creem there

i don't think i've taken a group photo at the dinner table -- it's not in my computer anyway =(
